    One is innocent untill proven guilty. According to the news host on BBC the case was basically the accusers word against Jacksons.

    Neither of them is really credible IMHO. But if 1 juror is not 100% sure the accused is guilty, the verdict will be innocent..
    It appears the defense did a good job getting this result, the DA did a bad job proving the case...

    Justice? Not sure, I don't know if he did it or not... All I know he is one strange fellow...

    My two views:
    1. Michael Jackson is a weirdo, a freak, and has inappropriate relationships with kids;
    2. The prosecutor had a lousy case.

    From my living room, I didn't think the prosection should have brought this case, despite my feelings about MJ. I was therefore happy with the decision.

    Our system works: better that some guilty go free than the innocent go to prison.
    Palm V-->Visor Deluxe-->Visor Prism-->Visorphone-->Treo 180-->Treo 600-->Treo 650 on Sprint-->Treo 700p-->Centro-->Diamond-->Pre-->HTC EVO 4g???!

    I am not too sure about htis statement. The knife cuts both ways in these instances.

    Indeed it does. Imagine, for example, sitting in jail for three years without being even charged... or spending 10 or 15 years in jail and being acquited on DNA evidence. Fact is, innocent people do still wind up in jail... and some perps still walk the streets. It isn't perfect, but at least everyone involved tries to do their best. If not for that and people's trust in it the system would dissolve.

    I bet if you took a poll of people sitting in prison, most would claim they're innocent...

    I bet if you took a poll of people throughout the world, most people would claim they are open minded and intelligent. Go figure...

    I never felt that MJ was guilty. I see him as a child stuck in a man's body. We all know that Mike is a bit weird, and many of the things the DA said he did came off to me as what children do when their parents arent around.

    If the accusers had some credibility, Mike would have been found guilty.

    Technically he wouldn't be innocent (nor "not guilty"). In the case proposed, assuming the juror in question votes his conscience and disagrees with everyone else, it will be a hung jury.

    I heard that if he was found guilty, he wasn't going to appeal if they would send him to a juvenile facility.

    Thanks to today's DNA evidence, we are finding this to be true in many cases.

    This is the truth. That's what won the case for him.

    Hmm. If anyone is interested, I can't imagine a better editorial on this than this one by Libby Copeland of the... Washington Post.

    some excerpts...

    If the past few months have proved anything, it's that Jackson is even weirder up close than he is from afar. In Santa Maria, we saw him day in and day out -- our most sustained glimpse since he disappeared down the rabbit hole of fame and eccentricity decades ago. The closer you got, the more he didn't make sense. Up close, that face looks as if it's made from puzzle pieces that weren't meant to fit together.
    ...
    Jackson was what kept us looking, not at the details of the trial, which were far too confusing. To follow a trial, you need a clear timeline, not this mess. When exactly did the alleged molestations take place? Observers were never sure. And there was no sense of good and evil, no sympathetic character to root for. Nearly everyone was dirty, or at the very least, possessed of questionable motives.

    Well, I didn't pay attention to the trial (didn't interest me that much) so I don't know how well the prosecution did or the defense. I just hope justice was done. And no matter what the truth is (YOU CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!), I wouldn't let my kid go near that freak....he may be an innocent freak, but still a freak.

    Just found this quote from a Juror...

    One of the jurors who acquitted Michael Jackson on all counts said he believes the pop star is "probably" a molester, but the prosecution didn't prove it.
    Michael Jackson
