Prices are super high but you've got to work the system to find deals.
A typical room price is $400+ but here's what I do to get it for less than 1/2 price:

I spend two weeks in LA every 4 months or so. During that time I use priceline.com to search for air+hotel deals for staying at the Venitian for about 4 nights. I typically get a price of about $800 including an Americawest round trip fare from LA. That usually includes a weekend. If you choose to go during a "slow" week and not including the weekend then it can get slightly better. Don't even think of booking when there's a convention in town: all hotels double their prices... it's ridiculous.

Use vegas.com to find out what's happening in town. You can also search for deals there but I typically get better results using priceline.

The V is absolutely top class! The waitresses are "top quality". And if you're a non-smoker like me, you will also notice the major superiority in casino A/C and air filtration as opposed to the older hotels. Stay away from the crappy in-house Chinese restaurant...

I have some pics... I will try to post soon.

    TreoSixOO,

Sorry for not responding earlier: I've been off the board for a while: swamped at work and had a few PPL exams last week.

I checked out my pics, actually my girlfriend's pics, and realized that we have more MPEG4 video. They are mainly off the lobby, outside and on the strip. just a few in the casino and none in the rooms. I will have to take a few pics with my 650 the next time I'm there. I will try to see if I can get stills from the MPEG4 video and post them but there's really not that much to see. I recommend you search some of the websites mentioned previously to get detailed hotel pics.
