I love corgis..I lost my tri color male last year and will forever miss him. He was the best dog I have ever had the pleasure to live with. What a little gentleman he was. Someday maybe I will be able to get another.

Clownracer...great link! I have to buy one now because two of my daughters saw it and want it. I love the baby in the bathtub. If you think the bed is a problem now, wait til a baby comes. Our bulldog, Diesel, use to pout on our feet because he didn't get our pillows anymore.

I agree, they are the best dogs. My parents fell in love with mine and had to get 2 as well. It's funny to see them play when they all get together!

Is that Raven (as shown on later posts)? Mine was supposed to be a border collie, from working parents, got him from a farm, looks kind of like yours, except he's up to 86 lbs now (at 4.5 yrs). He's sweet, smart (understands english, not just simple commands but actual sentences), loves to cuddle, crouches on occasion like a border collie but he's lazy as all get out, not like a border collie. So he's obviously got other stuff in him. Any opinions?

Ya the pic in my avatar is Raven the beast. She will run forever if she has the room but we dont get many ops with kids in the house now. She has to settle for walks around the block. She is smart the same as yours. She speaks English just fine. She has many of the best qualities of all three breeds. I am very lucky. She is the most loyal and smartest dog I have ever owned.

She is also a great judge of character. Loves virtually everyone, but she can smell evil or bad intent like it was roasting meat. Once when she was ten months old we were on a road trip. the wife was walking her in a grassy lot near the gas station while I was in paying for gas. Kids and people were coming up and she was very affectionate to all. As my wife crossed the field, a man coming from the other direction approached her and started to speak to her, ignoring the dog. My wife tells it like this. She heard a low rumbling and thought a plane was going overhead but quickly realized it was Raven starting to growl (she had never heard this sound from her before). Raven stopped walking and turned sideways putting her full body in front of my wife (she is 4'9" and not very imposing). The man kept walking forward and started to talk to my wife. SHe was so ficused on Raven's actions that she doesnt remember what he said. She said the dog suddenly seemed to grow in size and height and focused all her attention on the man. He got about 10 feet away and she suddenly increased the volume of her growl to the point where he couldnt ignore it and rolled her lips back to give him a nice view of her teeth. Her canines are about and inch and a quarter. My wife says the color suddenly drained from his face, he stopped talking and quickly changed the direction he was walking. Raven then herded my wife back to our car where I was just arriving.

After hearing that story, I really dont worry about the wife and kids at home alone during the day yunno. She has on occasion barked solicitors off the front porch. No all of them, just some.

She will also stick to my 2 year old like glue if I tell her to watch him. Never been trained to do that. I just tell her.

As to your boy's laziness, maybe you just havent found what motivates him yet. He certainly is handsome. My brother once had a BC that lived for frisbee and sat on her **** the rest of the time. Come to think of it I had one once that was a bum until the porcupines came calling. He never learned, poor guy.

haha I just noticed that , he's actually skinny for his age and many of them grow up to be about 25-29 lbs..they are known as the largest North American Cat Breed and despite their size are known as "gentle giants".

They are very smart cats and can be trained to do simple tricks like dogs, they have an odd habit of actually picking up there food with their paw and bringing it too their mouth or first taking it from the food bowl and placing in the water bowl and then grabbing it and putting it in their mouth.

well once again we have a "family" Pit Bull attack and kill a 12 year old boy. Can't understand the desire to own those dogs. The mother was even concerned enough about the male dog (the female was in heat) to try to lock her SON in the basement to separate them while she ran errands. He got out and was attacked by the male. In one breath the mother says she is not mad at the dogs and still recommends them as family pets, in another breath she wants the male put down....never allowed in their house again. Huh?!

Do you not have the guts to start your own "I hate Pit Bulls" thread instead of continually crapping on this one?

    Probably should ban turtles too

    http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/06/08/girl.killed.ap/

FORT MYERS, Florida (AP) -- A 6-year-old girl darted into traffic to save a turtle and was killed when she was hit by a car, officials said.

i dont have a doggie or kitty but I want one...although Im allergic to kitties it would be a great help for me to have an animal

oh about pitbulls...in ontario (the province of) pitbulls are illegal. This was based on the constant reports of attacks on people. However you know the dog is really not to blame, its really the owner...but oh well eh
