Hear hear! I too also come here just for the Treo-related news, but have (in recent months) been finding myself meandering to the off-topic forum as well. Spouting my political and social beliefs on the internet has as much effect on the audience as attacking a tank with a water gun; I have rarely read a political argument which concluded with either side conceding and acknowledging their faults. So it goes...

OK, by quoting you made it look like you were adressing me..

    Have a look here: http://discuss.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=58123
This thread is dedicated to that issue..

I'm mearly suggesting that we are all intelligent enough (we must be, if we're here, right? ) to do what both Kerry and Bush have asked us to do, move forward together. I've tried to be an example of that, and I will continue to do so.
OK, thanks for clearing that up

    I'm afraid you are right
I allways naively hope that people listen to each others argument and learn from it.. I know I (try to) do...

    More CNN Bias:

When Judy Woodruff announced on election night that Florida had gone to Bush, she was almost in tears. You could hear the sadness and disappointment in her voice.

I thought news anchors were supposed to do a better job of keeping their opinions to themselves?

Ha ha! Didn't you learn anything from the Dan Rather fiasco? So eager to rip Bush that he fell victim to a scam.

We are all waiting for Dan to concede

This was posted on CNN.com, but I cant find it:
Netscape responsible for Bush photo insult

Disparaging image tags used to identify photos of President and Mrs. Bush currently circulating on the Internet were not created, disseminated or posted by CNN at any time, as is alleged. They were done by a junior-level employee of Netscape and posted on Netscape.com. CNN had no knowledge of this until it surfaced on other Web sites.

Netscape, which corrected the situation when it was discovered, has released a statement apologizing for the "inappropriate and disparaging terms" that were used in the image tags -- and saying that the company has terminated the employee.

That's why CNN was called the "Clinton News Network".

If you feel it is a mudslinging contest, then do something about the WORST OFFENDERS. You know exactly who I am referring to. I've seen at least four posts in two days that are personal attacks on people's intelligence, jobs, and beliefs. They've been totally ignored by the moderators. It seems to me that when someone posts a contrary view (as I often do) they are scrutinized, but when the worst of the worst attack, they get away with it. That probably has something to do with the fact that at least one of the moderators in this forum has proven they have the same agenda as the attackers. I've been watching this unfold for days.

Blanket statements like this are useless..
