More realistically, all the people who produce something and take care of themselves voted Bush while all the takers who want others to take care of them voted Kerry.

Really...I make $125,000 a year, my wife make $86,000 a year and I have many people that work for me. I own two companies. You really think I'm not producing?
As for taking care of myself...I hoped the goverment will take care of tax payers ...all I have gotten is an autistic child caused by vaccinations, a president that tries to give pharmaceutical companies retroactive protection for lawsuits, specifically mercury poisoning in vaccinations (He felt that was part of our national security bill), a president that has lifted mercury level restrictions in any industry (even now saying they should be self-policed), a president that has a personal vendetta against a country and is not protecting our country the right way.

We, the people that have been affected DIRECTLY by the terrorist attacks (I work in Downtown manhattan) , know what is at stake. People in Washington, D.C, know what is at stake. Look how we voted.

I can't stand remarks like: "all the people who produce something and take care of themselves voted Bush while all the takers who want others to take care of them voted Kerry." It's not so simple (or maybe it is to simple minded people). There were MANY more issues involved in this election. I am very, very sad. 4 more years of this...

I guess... but what does that have to do with 9/11? Those states always vote Democratic.

PA does NOT always vote democratic. The city of Philadelphia is largely democratic, but the state as a whole is rather Republican.

Officially, it's considered a swing state.

Well, they went for Gore in 2000, and Clinton in 1996 and 1992, and have a Democratic Governor. But I don't think KypDurron was referring to PA in his post anyway - probably just NY and DC.

Rest assured Kyp- the Republicans now OWN the whole thing. ALL OF IT. Bush and his Republican controlled Government will be solely responsible for what happens from now on. They will not be able to blame the Democrats or anyone else for the decisions they will make over the next four years. They alone will be held accountable for every person killed or maimed in Iraq. They will be responsible for any terrorist attacks that happen on their watch. Karma is a real b*tch and when the pendulum swings back, it is not going to be pretty. I take great comfort in knowing that.

Boy the hate sure does drip off you like sweat on hot day. You need to take a chill pill and relax abit. You really think your hatred for all things republican doesnt show through in your everyday life.? Do you sit there *****ing to the troops you treat about this stuff? That's got to be wonderful for their state of mind.

Grow up and get over it. Put all your passion to good use and quit being so bitter.

On a side note: if the republicans were so bad why would they get elected? Why would they have remained a viable party all these years?

The Republican party has many members and politicians that I admire. I don't think the party itself is the issue. It is their leaders that are creating problems.

To clarify my statements, I meant the areas attacked by 9/11.

The ACTUAL COUNTIES where the planes hit!
    Break Downs per county:
    Manhattan: 82% Kerry, 17% Bush (468,841 Kerry, 95,362 Bush).

Don't give me that about Manhattan being Democrats...Look at who we elected for Mayor, Bloomberg, Republican. Before him? Guliani, Republican. Who is our Governor, Pataki, Republican. We elect based on merit, not political parties.

Disctrict of Columbia: 90% Kerry, 9% Bush. (183,876 Kerry, 19,007 Bush)

Cambria County, PA did go 50, 50, but it is country that is traditionally Republican. (33,837 to Bush, 32,397 to Kerry). We can all agree that Cambria County was not a target, btw, D.C was where the plane was supposed to attack.

As for who is responsible for the deaths in Iraq? Bush's Administration is responsible. That war should have never happened. All the countries that STATED that it shouldn't have happened are now considered unfriendly.
To Quote Bush: "They are either with us or against us".

Weapons of mass descruction? how about North Korea? We didn't suspect they have weapons, they come out AND TELL US they do. They threaten to use those weapons! do we ATTACK THEM? no...we attack Iraq....I wonder how many WMDs they have found (0)...how many gallons of OIL are produced in North Korea (0)? how many are produced in Saudi Arabia? (7.7 million /day.) How many in Iraq? (3.6 million /day)
U.S.A produces 5.9 million. What is the US demand? 20 million per day. Getting that Oil from Iraq makes sense...I know..let's send Halliburton...We put sanctions on Iraq for exporting oil, but we need those 3.6 mill...
Who cares if North Korea has stated that they will begin to EXPORT MISSILES.

Sorry for the rant...I am bitter..

The truth: Americans are responsible. The american public elected him.
He won the majority. I just can't see WHY! I stated why he should not have won...can someone please tell me what he has done? Afghanistan? I agree with Afghanistan... Fight terrorism? no one that was directly affected agrees. He removed the clean air act. He tries to protect Eli Lilly and Pfizer from being sued...then names the CEO of Lilly, Sidney Taurel, to the National Security Advisory Council.

Examples of other republicans that are motivated by special interest groups? How about Leader Bill Frist (Senator), still trying to give retroactive protection to Lilly.

Examples of good republicans: Tom Daschle (R, Ind) and John McCain (R-Ariz). Both opposed the provisions added by the White house. They eventually, joining democratic majority, reversed the clause.

I wholeheartedly agree about putting passion to good use. One of the things you can do is start working for Hillary '08! You may think it's silly at first, but that exactly what the wifey told me. She felt that she needed to channel her energy. And she's doing it. Volunteering for you fellow congressman/woman or senator is a great start. There's a lot to learn about the political process, etc.

On a separate note, I think it's ok to be bitter. When you lose people, when they are murdered and then, among other things, one can't even have a proper burial, there is an unfillable void. I can write a tome on this - and I probably have in my other posts - but it's not necessary to do so.

Hate is a strong word. I wouldn't say I hate Republicans at all. However, there are two or three key people in the Republican administration that I regretfully say I do.

Right, because while slavery was so bad why had it been acceptable - for over 150 years in this country!! Majority does not always equal right.

Daschle was the Democratic Senator Minority Leader from SD, but he lost his reelection bid. The Democrats couldn't even reelect their own Senate leader. Pretty weak.

I stand corrected. I also see that you are one of those people that refuse to even consider another point of view....I only point out things that I have experienced...I do not wish any of what has happened to me on other people...I just wish people would at least try to understand someone's point of view. Oh well...maybe one day you would experience what it is like to suffer in some way...and then maybe you would understand why this country is divided..

Not quite, they don't have 60 senators. Look for a lot of fillibustering in the next 2 years at the minimum.
