Bob: Kelly wasnt that bad. I think the Bills had problems with defense in coverage (and just plain bad luck i.e. Norwood kick) :-)

BTW Smiley: Go Steelers - Cowher and the Bus probably need to win the ring now or they may not get back there any time soon.

I think Kelly was good too but not as good as Marino. He cretainly could've played better in all those SuperBowls. Especialy that one where he threw 5 INT's.

It was kinda funny...after the game I went to the other room for something and when I got back my wife said...."That bald commentator said that he though the Steelers could easily handle either the Panthers or the Seahawks in the SuperBowl". I asked if she meant Terry Bradshaw and she said yeah..."Well dear, he did win two superbowls as QB for the Steelers back in the day, so he may be a bit biased" I thought it was funny.

And wasn't he then at the Seahawk's game talking about how great and unstoppable Hasselback and Alexader are? Or was I seeing/hearing things?

Congrats to the Steelers. Rothliesberger is the man. Unlike the Patriots, the Steelers were able to pick up Denver's blitz and make them pay almost everytime throwing the football. If Foxworth were a woman, he'd be carrying Rothliesberger's baby right now. It's pretty clear that the Steelers are the 15-1 team from last year who had a few injuries hold them back. But Ben is much better than last year and the defense is playing more physical. I think they'll beat Seattle but I think it will be a very tight game. Seattle has been underrated all year. I think they're running game is very physical like that of KC's, their defense is playing great and I think Hasselbeck is a great QB who suffered in previous years from dropped balls. Which should all make for an interesting match up.

Will this be the lowest rated SuperBowl since the Ravens/Giants? Pgh is a big draw, but Seattle? Are there really Seattle fans outside of Starbuck's HQ?

BTW, did anyone notice the announcer talk about Pgh's, "Iron Curtain" dynasty from the 70's? I sat there and said, "I think the Soviet Union had the Iron Curtain and Pgh had the Steel Curtain. Remember when the wall came down in Pgh?"

Both played good games against teams that played poorly. Plummer seems to always collapse in th big game. You are probably correct in this being a low rated superbowl. The Steelers have a decent fan base across the nation because of "iron curtain" days, but that generation is fading out fast and Seattle???

I think Shanahan reined Jake in so much this year that when he has to sling it, he's unsure of himself. The other problem is that Denver is great at run blocking but kind of suspect in protecting the QB. When they got down, Pgh was able to unleash the blitz. Gotta give the Steelers the credit for making Denver play poorly though. Seattle too in their game.

Bill Cowher has always been one of my favorite coaches in the league despite my having no love for the Steelers. He's a great coach. A man's man football coach. A let's go out there and bust some heads kind of guy. You gotta love that. I'd take Cowher over Reid in a heartbeat. Holmgren is a great coach too. I'm guessing that Pgh will be favored so I'm wondering how the team will react to not being able to use that no one gives us any respect crap.

Agreed, one team came prepared to play the other team could not match the intensity. Steelers were the better team. I do like the style of Cower, hard nosed football, much like the NFC East and Black and Blue division used to be. Can you see TO or Randy Moss mouthing off to Cower?

That would be hilarious. Cowher would bust their heads open. I think Parcells would too. Cowher would've fit right in back in the NFC East's day back when Buddy, Parcells, Gibbs and Johnson were there. That was some brutal football.

That game was so awesome. That Stadium got quiet QUICK. Jake the Mistake.

The Bus gets to go home to detriot and retire in Style.
I think the Steelers will take this game 28-21. Shawn will have 89 yards rushing. Jerome will have 67yds and Will parker will run for 112 yds.
    Ben will throw for 157yds

    Just my $.02.

Oh yeah that was football. Jacoby, and Grimm pulling to escort Riggins through the counter trey, Darrel Green catching Tony Dorsett down the sidelines. Who'd a thought Parcells and Gibbs would face each other again. Cower had his team playing like that Sunday.

I can see Pgh winning 28-21 but I can't see them having 200+ yards rushing on Seattle. I think you're being a bit overconfident in Pgh's rushing ability and underestimating Seattle's D a little. But I have been wrong about every game the Steelers have been in so what do I know?
