So Buying into the NPR story..

The UN IAC knew these could be used for Nuclear purposes, and tagged it as such...
So the IAC knew that these munitons were an issue and important.
We invade actually with knowledge of these explosives for weapons... obviously as important as aluminum tubes. I guess it would be tough to view 380 tons of weapons being moved from a spy satellite

Then what did the Pentagon do
    a)Don't look for them,
    b)Don't check on them,
    c)Don't protect them!
    d)All ot the above

It's not like finding these explosives and the people that originally put them there could lead us to anything else. Sounds like we could care less about proliferation to me.
Anybody else starting to think this entire scheme was to drive up the price of oil permanently?

If you're paying attention to the news this morning, specifically ABC News and the Washington Times, it would appear that the Kerry/CBS/NY Times attempted October surprise is unraveling.

Is the New York Post a joke paper? That article made me laugh - since when has the IAEA been a discredited organisation? Since when does owning the skies mean owning the roads? And how vague is the term 'war making material'? Lol

FWIW I've just been and read the IAEA letter on the IAEA website and it's stated that the amount of all materials was checked in Jan 2003. It's also strange that such a fuss is being made about the IAEA having some conspiracy going on when the original letter came from the Iraqi government dated 10 October.

You know this is NOT about the New York Post swinging or anyone else swinging votes.

It is about John Kerry's poor judgment.

He showed poor judgment in the 70's when he worked to end the Vietnam war by distorting the truth and meeting with our enemies without regard to the ill affect his actions were having on me and the rest of the troops.

His record in the senate has on more than one occasion showed bad judgment

And today the John Kerry legacy of poor judgment continues with him jumping on this clearly ambiguous if not bogus story to further his cause without regard to the truth and without regard to how his actions are affecting our troops.

It saddens me that half the country cannot see that of all the democrats that could have been running for President, John Kerry is the least qualified and in my mind the least deserving of being given the honor of serving as the Commander in Chief our military. Well maybe Dean would have been worse, but he does not have the history that Kerry does.

Let me save you guys the time and post your response for you.... "Yeah? What about George Bush's poor judgment, etc. etc."

I am not talking about GW, my rant is towards John Kerry and whatever you think of GW does not change the truth about John Kerry. This is the first time that I have worried about the outcome of an election. In my lifetime thus far I felt that either candidate in a presidential election would do their best to do what was best for our country if elected. Today I have serious and growing doubts about John Kerry. I hope GW wins, but if he doesn't, I pray John Kerry proves me wrong.

"Looters stormed the weapons site at Al Qaqaa in the days after American troops swept through the area in early April 2003 on their way to Baghdad, gutting office buildings, carrying off munitions and even dismantling heavy machinery, three Iraqi witnesses and a regional security chief said Wednesday.

The Iraqis described an orgy of theft so extensive that enterprising residents rented their trucks to looters. But some looting was clearly indiscriminate, with people grabbing anything they could find and later heaving unwanted items off the trucks.

Two witnesses were employees of Al Qaqaa - one a chemical engineer and the other a mechanic - and the third was a former employee, a chemist, who had come back to retrieve his records, determined to keep them out of American hands. The mechanic, Ahmed Saleh Mezher, said employees asked the Americans to protect the site but were told this was not the soldiers' responsibility."

The issue here is this administration was told about the tons of explosives that needed to be secured DID NOT inform the troops going through that area. Just another feather in the incompetence hat of this administration. Blind faith in what you're doing is NOT ENOUGH!

    Talldog, thanks for the tip:

On ABC, they have video evidence which shows that the explosives went missing AFTER the war.....
