Mobile Phones Again Linked to Cancer
    * * * * *Mobile phones may present a cancer risk after all. Epidemiologists at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm have found that the phones can increase the incidence of acoustic neuromas, benign tumors of the auditory nerve. The nerve is exposed to radiation during the normal use of a cell phone.

    [snip -KR]

On a separate note, I've been making meters to measure radiation for 14 years (I am not linked to Microwave News)

For meters to measure cell phones, headsets, angles to hold the phone at, etc., www.safelevel.com/cellsensor

    Microwave News is
    “meticulously researched and thoroughly documented.”

The snake oil came from me...I'm not related to microwavenews.com in any way...I make gauss meters for 14 years now...that is how i make my living.

The microwave news article stands on its own...they are independent and they are in 20/20 and 60 minutes often!

You'll see it tomorrow in cnn.com and reuters.com

As a precuationary matter I would stongly recommend everyone insist that their rats not use their cell phones.

Whether this is true or not, there's a simple solution -- get a headset.

That would seem too sensible for this discussion.

OK, there's no need to panic, but disregarding evidence like this seems a bit daft.

I want to get a phone like bilbo!
Bilbo, where can I get one?

Well, this is new? We all know microwaves against your head is a bad idea. Use a hands-free! I just wish I could find one with a decent microphone.

A lead-plated holster is not a bad idea either

Lead is not a shielding material for emf
You cannot shield the phone...it does not work or worse it will pump out more watts/cm2 trying to get better reception!
Headsets are the solution...they keep the unit away from the brain...but don't put the antenna on your lap unless you like sunny side up
Why not let me make a buck and buy a meter to measure? Some headsets themselves can become an antenna!! Some of course do not.

I heard somewhere that the radiation travels up the headset cord right to your ear. Don't know if its's true or not.

Do you know the bluetooth headsets?
    Palm III > HS Visor > Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 750 > Treo Pro > PrePlus GSM

A radio is a radio. I have a hard time buying into the concept that a slight change in radio frequency will produce different results on living tissue.
