I'm thinking about buying an internal or external dvd burner.

What do people recommend? It would need to be able to burn dvds that would play in my PS2.

I have recently bought an internal dvd player and found it a good solution for me since I don't really need to burn DVDs away from home. I got the NEC ND-2500 because it burns DVD+-R/RW and I am happy with it. In case you feel like it, you can still buy an adaptor for the internal burner later, a "box" that lets your internal burner become an external one. Internal burner plus adaptor cost about the same as an external burner.

www.cdfreaks.com is a good site for information on DVDs and burners, it is "the world's largest CD/DVD community"). I am not familiar with PS2, but I am sure you will find the information there or e.g. on www.dvdrhelp.com.

I bought an external because I have 3 PC's in the house and wanted to be able to use it with all.

Check out this site for burning guides: http://www.dvd-guides.com/index.php
