2. 07/06/2004, 08:30 PM OK, another old (and easy) one: A couple have two children. You knock at their door, and one of their two children, a girl opens the door. What is the probability that the other child is also a girl?

Ehm 50% there is no link between the sex of the 2 kids so it should be default probability which is (about) 50% (ex)VisorCentral Discussion Moderator Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

7. 07/06/2004, 08:45 PM Man, I gotta start doing something productive...I'm stuck thinking about old riddles....so, here's another: A man goes to visit a prison inmate. The guard tells him that only relatives are allowed to visit and asks what his relationship is to the prisoner. The man replies "brothers and sisters I have none, but that man's father is my fathers son." The guard lets him in. What is the relationship of the visitor to the prisoner?
