I can go blow my tranny, motor and turbo, and nothing comes out of my pocket. That piece of mind (especially with a machine like this) is what sold me on it.

Oh, and Claire I truly admire your feable attempt to make me look like a poo-poo talker, but as clown pointed out, I have the Stage I Turbo upgrade (just a modded PCM). The numbers I posted are set in stone by Mopar/FlightSystems engineering. http://www.mopar.com/street/products_srt4.htm

Also, in case anyone's curious, my baby's boosting 14-16psi pretty consistently with the stock unmodded wastegate! My top speed is no longer limited to 153 as I've taken it to 160 before completely soiling myself.

Bottom line, I'm beyond happy with what I have. If you've got an itch for power, speed, handling and attention, and are on a budget... you cannot go wrong with an SRT-4.

Damn all this talk gave me the itch... I'm going out for a spin.
Ha, I was just about to explain Stage 1, but I see you have done that. Nice job w/ the mods. As I always say - speed safely!

That's awesome! How much boost? What mods have you done?

I drive a 2 door 84 chevy blazer. I like it but it has a few problems.

    1) The radio stopped working 4 years ago but I found out if you smack the dash with a heavy set of channel locks it comes back on. That worked for a few months untill the dash cracked. Since the dash cracked the channel locks dont give much of a smack any more, the cracked part just bounces a little, so I started just reaching up and kicking the radio, a little tricky go'in 60. But the last time I did it I broke the front of the radio, now all I get is farm news and I cant turn it off.

    2) The owner before me replaced the windshield and he must have done a bad job because it leaks. It dosent just drip a little at the corners, it rains all along the top. During the summer I noticed a bad smell, the carpet mildewed because it was wet. I ripped out all the carpet which is OK as long as your not wearing flip flops because the floorboard gets realy hot. Its nice when you hit the brakes on a rainy day in the summer because all the water in the floor board rushes to the front of the car and cools it off.

    3) It dosent have an air conditioner which is OK but the power window motors in the doors went out. The drivers side then a few months later the passenger side. If your going faster than 30 you can hold the door open with your knee and get some air but you have to be carefull because the cops will pull you over and ask you what the heck is wrong with you.

    4) It gets me into a little trouble with the road rage people because the horn honks sometimes when I use my blinker. A screw or something must have came apart in the steering colum and is occasionaly making contact between the turn signal lever and the horn. I can hear it jiggling in there but I forget about it most of the time untill it honks. The person in the car in front of me usually spins around pretty fast to find out who the jerk is, I then also begin to look around quickly so that no one will know it was me.

Its got more rust than paint and I should get rid of it because I have a fairly new Ford Explorer now. I cant bring myself to part with it because it reminds me of how wonderful my wife is. We met at a dance club and made a date for the next day. I picked her up, we had a nice date but I could see that she was suited for someone more successful than me. She drove a brand new Acura and was surely making 5 times what I made. But none of that mattered to her.

Cute. Doesn't look 16 yrs old. Did you restore it yourself or buy it that way? BTW, I guess Aussies drive on the left, like in India, Hong Kong, Singapore... I wonder if Canada is the only Commonwealth country that drives on the right.

I have to admit, the pics flatter the car a bit, it does have some rust patches and some small dents here and there, but nothing too serious.

BTW I live in the UK now, but yeah in pretty much all of the commonwealth AND japan and thailand they drive on the left. It was in far more countries than I realized..
