driving a truckasaurus here in the district of columbia is pretty unwieldy and foolish. parking one is even worse. but people still do it. i should know- i've had my door banged by a few. sometimes in the city, even my car seems big. sometimes i take the train or a cab.

My Forester is 4 cylinders, don't know how many litres, but definitely not turbo. Good thing it's a standard, would never be able to pass on the highway otherwise.

My Smart is the basic fortwo, I think it's called Pulse, because I wanted all one colour, (I ordered black) and the Passion was going to be all gray but trim and gas cap in black (no thanks). I'll post a pic when I get it, they said once it's in production it can be two months or hey it's in Halifax, coming next week... So June at the latest.

If it is the latest model its a 2,5 liter, if it is an older one it is a 2 liter.
Before my XT (the 2,5l turbo) I drove a 98 limited (2l no turbo) it wasnt very fast, but wasnt slow either.. with the lower gearing on the 1st of the automatic box it was a good contender for trafficlight races, the XT would beat just about anything at the traffic lights..

clair he posted that his srt had a stage 1 kit on it that is a horsepower upgrade that would allow low 5sec 0-60 times but while I doubt HE could pull off a 5 flat the car may be able to pull that(on slicks)

I understand your disposition, but I didn't ultimately buy this machine for my passengers; I bought it for me. The STI and EVO are without-a-doubt beautiful machines, but they will not warranty the ENTIRE car (including turbo system & any dealer installed upgrades) for 5 years/100k miles. I can go blow my tranny, motor and turbo, and nothing comes out of my pocket. That piece of mind (especially with a machine like this) is what sold me on it.

Oh, and Claire I truly admire your feable attempt to make me look like a poo-poo talker, but as clown pointed out, I have the Stage I Turbo upgrade (just a modded PCM). The numbers I posted are set in stone by Mopar/FlightSystems engineering. http://www.mopar.com/street/products_srt4.htm

Also, in case anyone's curious, my baby's boosting 14-16psi pretty consistently with the stock unmodded wastegate! My top speed is no longer limited to 153 as I've taken it to 160 before completely soiling myself.

Bottom line, I'm beyond happy with what I have. If you've got an itch for power, speed, handling and attention, and are on a budget... you cannot go wrong with an SRT-4.

Damn all this talk gave me the itch... I'm going out for a spin.
