Welcome to T|C and since you searched and found this thread we're glad to have you.

However, with regards to your experience at the coffeeshop of another member here at T|C...

Did you speak to the him, the owner?

From what you say is the response you received from the storefront employee it seems like you didn't.

Speaking with the owner is usually the number one method for problem resolution with small businesses.

If you owned a business and there was a problem do you not think it would be helpful to know about it so it could be resolved?

There is a certain responsibility to being a good customer too.

Could it be this is a problem directly from the manufacturer of the cups, which in every likelyhood could be the same company manufacturing the Starbucks cups.

Give the business owner the chance to investigate the problem without trying to destroy his business.

Sounds like your a jaded ex-girlfriend. I mean all the years I've drank coffee & all the years I've been around, I've never heard of a worm or a moth in a cup of coffee. How would it get there? There is a metal filter that if God forbid there was one, it would stop it before it went into the coffee.

Seriously, did your boyfriend/coffee shop owner cut you off your makeup allowance?
She could be some TC poster's clone, though why should a TC poster resurrect that old thread?

She could have other reasons to post than the ones indicated... but she could also be honest about it. After all, moths develop from maggots ("worm" as she put it), and I would not totally rule out the possibility that both maggot and moth had the same source and were in the cup before the coffee was poured?

I mean, it could even be her in the picture, using her real name, no matter how unlikely it seems...

As I started reading this thread earlier, I started thinking to myself "Why am I reading a 2 year old thread?"

I couldn't come up with a good reason.
    I'm back!

Naaah, no hits in google... Do you normally have this suspicion when you see the picture of a pretty blonde with a slightly unusual name? A real gentleman you are.

I did talk to the owner Rick..(heavyset and bald) in case you think I'm making things up. He told me to "deal with it". This attitude has nothing to do with the cups at this point and has everything to do with business integrity.

As far as detroying his business, that's something he has control over, not me. If things were handled in the right manner, guess what? I woudn't be here, pretty simple.

Guess some people would just turn around and not be vocal about it, that's not me. . Ahhhh good times.

I'm surprised you didn't throw in the ol' "he has a small and is a premature ejaculator" line as well...

You're sounding more and more like a jilted ex.

I think it is time for Rick Dieterle to show up again and explain things from his angle. While he is at, maybe he could also clarify how Ms. Appleford REALLY looks like.

BTW, The Bean Bar seems to be fairly popular, as a quick Google search reveals. The Christian Singles Club had some of it's meetings there. Look for Eric waiving the CSC flag...
