Thanks for the advises friends. I am in trouble, aren't I? It's just that I get so hungry sometimes and can't wait for the tuna can to be opened...
I hear our plumber knows what to do in dire situations... I'll keep you posted. If I am still around. Oh my, I better start writing my will. Oh, I am doomed... I'm too young to bite the dust..................

Speaking as a metallurgist, that will only works if the metal is magnetic. If it doesn't work Oops try swallowing a load of iron filings and then a tube of superglue. Hopefully the sharp edge of the lid will burst the tube causing the filings to stick to the lid enabling the magnet to pull more successfully.

I am still alive and kicking friends. Maybe my stomach is tolerating the lid after all. Nevertheless, I ran your ideas by my doctor and he almost peed in his pants, poor thing (super glue? Torch? High heat? Magnet?). Now I begin to think that some of you might have, in actuality, tried to kill me. My goodness. I am tearing up my will!

Since you were asking, dear Chick-Dance:
a biologist is a person who knows about birds and bees, flowers and trees, and deoxyribonucleic acid, and -D-deoxyribofuranose residues with 3',5' linkages, and sometimes even about the most complex known organic life form in the universe, women.

It just shows a continued weakness in the Empire. Can't even cope with your own language. I thought murrayalex would appreciate some accurate information, since the lads countrymen don't seem to have a clue.
