Reminds me of that David Lettermen skit some twenty years ago. The one where he donned a Velcro suit and stuck himself to a wall.

Okay, trivia time. (Clu, stay out of this one). Who invented Velcro, and what was his nationality?

Concentration camps first used by Spain, in Cuba. 1895 - "reconcentración" - moving the population to the cities to stop support for the rebels.

So it was all their fault.

Well, you didn't really lose it. You sort of left it in the Atlantic while going to goof off in Iceland. Luckily my own highly-paid agents were able to retrieve it. (Still getting it repaired from its previous adventures.... )

You probably fall for that old Norwegian nerd line," wanna' come up and see my fjord collection?"

    Well, do you?

Cute pic, Chick (back a page or two). I hardly ever find my chicks stuck to a high-gravity wall.

So if that is a Chick pic, may we also see a Chick flick?

I don't think this is quite what the Beatles meant, but I guess you never know!

    Good reference, though!

Ah, a double negative from a teacher. That must mean that you do, indeed, have a flick or two for our viewing. Excellent!

Sir Mick? Oh, you mean the front man with that other rock band. People confuse us all the time. I'm younger and better looking, of course, but still.... (Mick and I go way back. Actually, he goes back rather farther then me. It's a sore point; he doesn't like to talk about it.)

Now, we've seen your quip, where might we find a flip or slip?

Thanks a lot, cool article: a guy publishes data claiming that glaciers grow, not shrink, which would contradict global warming - as it turns out this is total BS - very nicely described in the article.

Funny coincidence btw, I was about to post an article on melting glaciers in Switzerland and one problem associated with that:
Swiss Resort Covers Part of Glacier.
A ski resort here spread high-tech reflective foil over the tip of a glacier Tuesday to prevent it from melting this summer.
As temperatures have gradually risen in recent decades, the Andermatt resort has watched the annual disappearance of a strip of snow connecting a ski lift with the Gurschen glacier, nearly 10,000 feet above sea level.

Has anybody noticed how the word association thread is slowly getting closer to AFLAC regarding post count? We need more posts!
