    Found this in 3.1.1.

    EDIT webOS 3.0.0 sorry bout that
    just left over code ????

    { "extn":"mcd", "mime":"application/x-pcs-mcd+xml", "appId":"com.palm.mobitv.app.sprinttv", "streamable":true }
    ],

    "commands":
    [
    { "url":"^mailto:", "appId":"com.palm.app.email" },
    { "url":"^im:", "appId":"com.palm.app.messaging" },
    { "url":"^sms:", "appId":"com.palm.app.messaging" },
    { "url":"^contact:", "appId":"com.palm.app.contacts" },
    { "url":"^chatWith:", "appId":"com.palm.app.messaging" },
    { "url":"^opencontact:", "appId":"com.palm.app.contacts" },
    { "url":"^mojave:", "appId":"com.palm.app.mojave" },
    { "url":"^https?:", "appId":"com.palm.app.browser"},
    { "url":"^data:", "appId":"com.palm.app.browser"},
    { "url":"^tel:", "appId":"com.palm.app.phone"},
    { "url":"^mobi:", "appId":"com.palm.app.videoplayer"},
    { "url":"^mapto:", "appId":"com.palm.app.maps"},
    { "url":"^maploc:", "appId":"com.palm.app.maps"},
    { "url":"^rtsp[tu]?:", "appId":"com.palm.app.videoplayer"},
    { "url":"^sprinttv:", "appId":"com.palm.mobitv.app.sprinttv" },
    { "url":"^sprint-music:", "appId":"com.palm.sprintmusicplus" },
    { "url":"^ypc:", "appId":"com.palm.app.ypmobile" }
    ]
    }

    In 2.1.0 you have this line
    { "url":"^[^:]+://www.youtube.com/watch\\?v=", "appId":"com.palm.app.youtube" },

    it is removed from 3.0.0

    so if you are removing code that no longer works, why not remove the sprint reference

    Finding more line that has reference to sprint in carrierdb.

    From 2.0.1 , 2.1.0 to 3.0.0.(edit) no changes to the sprint lines.
    but in 3.0.0, they added lines to verizon and did not remove any from the sprint code.

    I know code gets left behind but one can hope it was left in for a reason.

    Put in the tip on roundup.
    I think it is left over code but for HP to remove the Youtube line and not remove the Sprint lines (3 of them) is a big mistake on thier part.

    My only thought is that they don't know what will happen by the time 3.0 is pushed to phones so they left it in. Could also mean the Sprint slab rumor is true, or that we will see a Sprint 3G tablet.

    More odd is the removing of the youtube info, unless when 3.0 hits they are eliminating the youtube app from phones too.

    Regardless, at this point I don't think it means anything immediate for phones on Sprint any time soon since 3.0 is supposed to be pushed to phones by the end of the year. Touchpad has launched, and 2.2 hasn't been pushed to phones yet to enable TTS.

    Ohhh and I really don't see this as a mistake, those of us that aren't certifiable believe HP wants their devices on as many carriers as possible, so in software development there would be no reason to remove that code.
    I love physical keyboards... but there is two devices that would make me consider a slab, one is something running a full version of Open webOS. The other is an iPhone!!!! HA HA just kidding (about the iPhone that is)...

    I am with you, as I said before I think HP has every intention of selling a device on Sprint, I still think Sprint is the sticking point here. At this point I don't see any reason for HP to remove the code unless they don't want to attempt to work with Sprint.

    Or they just know someone will hack 3.0 onto a Pre-... lol

    I'm with you on the part about sprint being the hold up but i can't blame them for not going with the plus and 2 versions of the phone.
    now the pre3 is a hole new ballgame and i see no reason for them not to release it on their network.

    With you as well, the fact that they won't activate an "unlocked" device is why I have 2 Veers sitting in my office. I finally understand why people love GSM.

    I don't blame Sprint for not carrying the other iterations of the Pre, but the fact that no matter what (other than reported luck) you can't get them to function on Sprint network, I am happy to go GSM. Especially with HP ownership now I don't see HP releasing any cellular device without an unlocked GSM options, they understand it's a global market.
