Archos 10.1 inches tablet. Not bad as an alternative. It has:
Internal: 8 & 16 GB flash memory, External: Micro SD Slot (SDHC compatible)
High resolution touch screen, 1024x600 pixels (WXVGA), 10.1'' TFT LCD,
ARM Cortex A8 at 1 GHz with DSP, Graphic accelerator: 3D OpenGL ES 2.0,

If you are really in a hurry to buy a tablet and not waiting for the Palm Pad.

Does it have access to the Android market? I'd read that it doesn't. Might be a bit of a turn off for some.

In the demo they click on "Applib" or "Appdb" (it's hard to see) and it opens what looks almost exactly like market.

The Archos tablets have an ap market run by Archos. You can sideload the google market on there though.
