I was 150 soaking wet most of my 20's and after I turned 30, I jumped on a scale, and I was 199. That got me in gear, so I'm now 170, and it's no longer "how'd that dude get a wife that hot?" and more like "I probably shouldn't stare at his hot wife too long" ltm...

I was 165 (6' tall) for most of my twenties and 30's.

Since i've moved to Atlanta, i've gained 15 pounds.

    But i'm still six feet.

    Not six feet under.

    Just six feet.

It is nice to be 6'3". It was easy to hide the extra junk in the trunk. I am glad, however, that I have ditched the trunk.

My wife and I have decided we want to be around for a while and as such we need to keep ourselves healthy. I want my kids to have a dad who can play with them, not one that needs to be rolled from the chair to the fridge.

It must be that good southern food!

I'm 6'2"+ and about 250 pounds. Not nearly enough muscle but I've been helping some friends with construction projects. I'm in significantly better shape than I was a couple of months ago, but I still have a way to go. With a small to medium effort, I can maintain my weight when working a desk job, but typically I loose weight and gain endurance when working outside (in spite of eating more).

At 6'3", 235 lbs, I burn through nearly 3000 calories just by living. I can easily knock down 4000 calories in food a day without even breaking a sweat. All I need to do is drop the calories closer to 3000 and work out. Build muscle and burn fat.

Find the sweet spot in your heart rate and you will burn fat instead of muscle. For me it is around 131 bpm. Go higher than that, or significantly lower (lower than 120 bpm), and you loose muscle content.

With living a sedentary life, I maintain my weight at around 2300 calories. I haven't checked how many calories I consume during an active lifestyle, but in the past I've eaten big dishes of ice cream daily and still lost weight at a healthy rate.

dbd, WonderlyButterly? ROFL! Yeah, that suits me!

I'm probably one of the few women who doesn't give a damn about discussing her weight in public, but that could be because of how tiny I am.

    At 5ft 7, I'm only 111 pounds, before I had my son back in '95, I was 105.

Not really.... you shouldn't get credit for coming to a DBD thread.

I liken it to playing intramural basketball in college. It just can't count for my Organic Chem class....
