Those untested people have done pretty well for the country. It's just that you don't really much like what they've done, now, do you? Health care reform, troop drawdowns in Iraq, increased NIH funding, enforced equal pay laws, turned the economy around in spite of the republicans, expanded SCHIP, decreased senior's expenses for medications, increased student loans and saved millions by doing away with for-profit student loan companies, limited salaries of senior aids, won the Nobel Peace Prize, appointed the first Hispanic to the Supreme Court, saved a good percentage of the US auto industry and jobs, has turned around the rapid decline in joblessness....but that's OK. I wouldn't expect you to appreciate any of it...even if you thought it was good for the country. I'm just fine with his record.

you can't regulate bad decisions and the MMS gave BP approval to replace the heavy drilling mud with seawater, before the final plug was poured. Unfortunately that has nothing to do with past Administrations.

Regulate the regulators who in time will most likely need more regulation.

Yeah, we better not anger BP. They may turn militant, start riots and light oily birds on fire and use them for Molotov Cockatiels!!!

ROFL....I'm sorry....I always starting laughing hysterically when I see "Nobel Peace Prize" as one of his accomplishments....please....ROFL....in the future....ROFL.....when you are trying to seriously list his accomplishments....ROFL.....you might want to leave that one off....ROFL. We don't need to revisit that....ROFL....."accomplishment"......ROFL.....I don't think anyone really took that seriously as he did NOTHING to get that one other than during his run for Prez say he was going to sit down with all these crazy nut jobs in the world, hold hands with them, and sing "We Are the World" and expect them to behave. ROFL......Nobel Peace Prize....you have outdone yourself this time davidra. I needed that good laugh....thanks!

As for the other things.....if leading our country further down the road towards Socialism and more Government control is your idea of accomplishments then yup, he has done that. I would have no arguement there. Oh, and the debt....wow.....did you leave the debt off as a really HUGE accomplishment? ROFL.....Peace Prize.....classic.

And you really think it makes a difference whether you think giving him the Peace Prize was appropriate or not? The nice thing is that he was such a contrast to the warmongers before him that the world felt he deserved it. Goes on his resume, in spite of the fact that he has escalated the war in Afghanistan. And yeah, that Socialism turned the job losses around and resulted in a return of the stock market. Sounds like socialism to me. Honestly, you really need to find a new term. Surely there are some creative partisan hacks that can come up with a more accurate term....like maybe successful progressive leadership?

Oh come on. Even Obama indicated he hadn't earned it. I give him credit for that.

if this had happened during bush's presidency, the impeachment proceedings would already be well under way, and we'd have 5 threads of people screaming for his head.

that's BS and you know it. Where were the calls for impeaching bush for katrina? He hired a moron who totally botched the job, and was crying about quitting his post the day of the storm. Boosh stood by his inept director even saying " brownie your doing a heck of a job"

So what is it, let BP continue the clean up , or allow "big government" to move in because of BP's delays. Take a side.

    Unemployment rate 9.9%
    Troops in Iraq - check
    Troops in Afghanistan - check
Saved millions by spending trillions - check
Spent tax payer moneys on GM and Chrysler which filed ch11 anyway (which contrary to popular belief put a ___t load of Americans out of work. - Check

Have you had your cool aid today?

Opinions and partial truths. Number of jobs has steadily risen and you know it. Stock market way up. Troops in Iraq decreasing. GM is doing just fine, thank you. I realize you would have rather had GM fail; that would have saved jobs exactly how? Face it....the country is in much better shape that in was when Obama took office, regardless of what the haters say.

It's so hilarious to see LA's hillbilly governor complain about BP's and the federal government's lack of response to oil washing up on shore.

He's usually Mr "Rah Rah" free market and the Federal government need not step into state and private affairs.

Now he needs help and is crying for the Fed govt to step in...

    The Irony is thick.
