I'm trying to create an Online Contact list that I can share with others in my industry.
They can then add/edit their contact info.

I want to create a Network of contacts that they can in-turn view/add/edit and share.

The goal is to get a pool of contacts for those of us in the same industry.

A free option we've used for working on a common project list is Google docs.

All involved can keep the Spreadsheet up to date live.
    This has worked very well.

I'm trying to do something similar for Networking our industry contacts.

Like google docs; I want it free, and secure.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Elance.com...

Tell them you want something "like" linkedin.com

Unfortunately, it won't be free (may be "cheap"), but maybe you can make some money on the back end or through donations.

Another idea would be to search places like SourceForge.net: Find and Develop Open Source Software for free solutions. If you can take a template and "roll your own" it will be free... but what is your "time" worth? lol

    Thanks,

I, myself, don't mind paying so much, I just want it to be free and easy to access for those I share it with.

    I'm liking google groups.

I'm just concerned how private/secure the info we share will be.
