Such wonderful change we have! Where are the liberals now? Lets see, pre- Obama they were anti war, anti patriot act, get the troops home, more jobs, more money for education, health care...... Now everythings ok???? Actually hard core libs and conservatives held their ground including polar opposites Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul.

Wake up people, your vote doesn't count. Bush didn't care, Obama doesn't care only their handlers and those behind the scenes do.

The Government keeps growing and the people are becoming poorer.... Wake up!

Neocons, you cannot escape this either. You can listen to your Beck, OReilly and Rush all you want too. You are all just as much to blame if not more so.

Patriot Act Without Reforms Passes House (Roll Call Included)
posted 25th February 2010 in Democrats, Legislation, Liberty by jclifford
An extension of the Patriot Act with no reforms of its abusive powers of unreasonable search and seizure against American citizens has passed the House of Representatives. The vote was 315 in favor of extending the Patriot Act without reform, 97 against, and 20 not voting.

Search for information about the roll call of this vote online tonight, and you’ll just find this nameless tally of numbers. You won’t find the names. Why?

The reason is that the House Democratic leadership voted on the renewal of the Patriot Act in such a way as to hide the vote from the American people. Go to the web site of the Clerk of the House, and you’ll see no vote from today about the Patriot Act at all. What you will see is Roll Call 67, “On Motion to Concur in Senate Amendments” for H.R. 3961, the Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act.

That’s the vote on whether to extend the Patriot Act without any reforms of its abusive spying programs. It doesn’t look like it, of course, but the Patriot Act extension is what’s referred to by “Senate Amendments”. The Senate Democrats sneaked the Patriot Act extension into a Medicare reform bill, and then voted by voice vote to approve the amendment so that no politician would have to have their name attached to this shameless abandonment of liberty. The House Democrats benefited from the maneuver as well, being able to vote on unnamed amendments related to Medicare reform, rather than having it on the record for everyone to see that they voted to renew the worst abuses of the Patriot Act without any effort to protect Americans from their spying powers at all.

We here at Irregular Times refuse to go along with this underhanded political charade. We’re naming names. Let’s start with those members of the House of Representatives who got it right:

Representatives With The Courage To Vote NO

Neil Abercrombie – Tammy Baldwin – Roscoe Bartlett – Xavier Becerra – Howard Berman – Rob Bishop – Earl Blumenauer – John Boccieri – Bruce Braley – Mike Capuano – Jason Chaffetz – Judy Chu – Yvette Clarke – Emanuel Cleaver – Cohen – Jerry Costello – Joe Crowley – Elijah Cummings – Pete DeFazio – John Dingell – Lloyd Doggett – John Duncan – Donna Edwards – Vern Ehlers – Ellison – Eliot Engel – Sam Farr – Bob Filner – Barney Frank – Marcia Fudge – Al Green – Raul Grijalva – Phil Hare – Jane Harman – Alcee Hastings – Dean Heller – Maurice Hinchey – Mazie Hirono – Rush Holt – Mike Honda – Hank Johnson – Tim Johnson – Walter Jones – Steve Kagen – Dennis Kucinich – John Larson – Barbara Lee – John Lewis – Dave Loebsack – Ben Lujαn – Dan Maffei – Carolyn Maloney – Ed Markey – Doris Matsui – Betsy McCollum – McDermott – James McGovern – Gregory Meeks – Michael Michaud – George Miller – Walt Minnick – Gwen Moore – Jerrold Nadler – Richard Neal – Jim Oberstar – John Olver – Frank Pallone – Ed Pastor – Ron Paul – Don Payne – Tom Perriello – Chellie Pingree – Jared Polis – David Price – Laura Richardson – Tim Ryan – Linda Sαnchez – Loretta Sanchez – John Sarbanes – Jan Schakowsky – Robert Scott – Jose Serrano – Carol Shea-Porter – Brad Sherman – Jackie Speier – Mike Thompson – John Tierney – Ed Towns – Nydia Velαzquez – Peter Visclosky – Maxine Waters – Mel Watt – Henry Waxman – Peter Welch – Lynn Woolsey – David Wu – Don Young

I disagree--the worst scoundrels are those who vote against this when it is a useful political tool against the opposite side, but vote for it, when it is controlled by their side.

People can have reasons to be for or against that, but those who have no reasons other than politics are the lowest of the low.

Why does one need to place thyself on a chart.

Can we not just take one issue at a time?

Well, he's paying attention, raising awareness, no doubt discussing this with many people throughout his everyday life.

I know I do all those things and support lobby groups like C4L and YAL that are making serious headway in fighting for causes I believe in @ Washington D.C.

To answer truthfully, it would confuse you. I actually am conservative on issues, Libertarian on others, Liberal on a few and the most important.... I am a Constitutionalist. I believe in doing what's right for our nation following most of the Jeffersonian principles.

I'm a peaceful guy, who doesn't even own, nor want's to own a weapon. I'm only assuming that you're trying to throw me into a certain "Revolutionary" crowd thats out buying weapons and ammo. Well thats not me. My job is to awaken those that can be awakened with words, those that choose not to? Oh well.
You see, most people simply refuse to read the writing on the wall. The status quo continues yet you still fail to see. Some can research on their own and seek truth, heck.... I dont even know the whole truth. 1 thing is for sure though Bush, Bush, Clinton, Obama are all figure heads. The same people are still pulling all the strings. The media tells you who to vote for and you do it. People are fooled into a false left-right paradigm and will follow anyone blindly. It's when you actually research past the mainstream media that you start to wake up. Iraq isn't our enemy and neither is Iran.

The "Amero" has been put on hold for possibly a one world currency, but you don't see anything on this in the US media do you? There is a "Globalist Agenda". Russia, Germany, Japan and several other nations are all discussing it. Why aren't we?

Here's something that was on CNBC, but never brought up again.

Betcha think that the North American Union is impossible?

The Europeans said that 20 years ago as well.

    Research the SPP
Thanks to some people (most notably Lou Dobbs), the SPP has been put on hold. I don't like citing Wikipedia, but here

Remember, millions were spent, with no congressional oversight.

Also research the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations)

Here are some of my favorite quotes

Felix Frankfurter, Justice of the Supreme Court (1939-1962), said: "The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise power from behind the scenes." In a letter to an associate dated November 21, 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt wrote, "The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson."

February 23, 1954, Senator William Jenner warned in a speech: "Outwardly we have a Constitutional government. We have operating within our government and political system, another body representing another form of government, a bureaucratic elite which believes our Constitution is outmoded."

Baron M.A. Rothschild wrote, "Give me control over a nation's currency and I care not who makes its laws."

All that is needed to effectively control a government is to have control over the nation's money: a central bank with a monopoly over the supply of money and credit. This had been done in Western Europe, with the creation of privately owned central banks such as the Bank of England.

Georgetown professor Dr. Carroll Quigley (Bill Clinton's mentor while at Georgetown) wrote about the goals of the investment bankers who control central banks: "... nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole... controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences."

The Bank of the United States (1816-36), an early attempt at an American central bank, was abolished by President Andrew Jackson, who believed that it threatened the nation. He wrote: "The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government, the distress it had wantonly produced...are but premonitions of the fate that awaits the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it."

Thomas Jefferson wrote: "The Central Bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the principles and form of our Constitution...if the American people allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order." - David Rockefeller

"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes its laws." - Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild

"Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy." - Henry Kissinger

"We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans..." - President Bill Clinton, USA Today, 03-11-1993

"We know in the not too distant future, a half dozen corporations are going to control the media. We took this step (merger) to ensure we were one of them" - Time Warner spokesperson.

"A total world population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal." - Ted Turner

"If I were reincarnated I would wish to be returned to earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels." - Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

"If the people were to ever find out what we have done, we would be chased down the streets and lynched." - President George H W Bush

I vote for more to be done. So...

Calling in to NPR to sound like just another crazy guy (or whatever you do) is worthless.

Terrorists! Don't question the government of the U.S.A. Terrorists!

    Spare me the quotes.

    Do something, or shut up.

I'm not trying to sound like a merchant here. Just tired of hearing about all the problems, with no actions (that matter) taken.

    You might understand.

    peace

    Some of that was jokes.

Have you read the Federalist Papers?

    If not, please do.

It might be your obligation to do more than discuss these issues with friends (or anyone.)

What you do is not up to me. I have heard it all before. Too many times for more talk to matter.

I'm not sure you can do anything, but you might have to try.

Sometimes when I say you, I mean we.

I am down with peace, as well.

Actually I have read the Federalist papers. They are an excellent guide for myself and other "awakened" people. We have lost our way.

The only thing I can do is spread the word and hope that some catch on. Luckily the RP Revolulution has awakened many, with countless people waking up every day. Republican, Democrat... its all the same.
