Book of Eli, good up until the ending, which was kind of lame.

    Book of Eli

Found it to be refreshingly non-formulaic.

    Definitely worth a rental.

I'm tired of stupid endings. Legion and Paranormal were huge letdowns at the end...

Watched Avatar and left feeling suicidal. No, not because I can't bear life in the real, non-fluorescent world anymore but because of the $13 and 2+ hours I just wasted in complete frustration.

Avatar. Twice this week. Once in 3D with some buddies, the local Loews doesn't allow beer in the IMAX theater . Then took my daughter and a friend of hers to see it in IMAX. Definitely see it in IMAX if you can.

Finally saw Avatar in 3D IMAX yesterday. The effects were truly groundbreaking and revolutionary. The story was predictable and trite. The characters were used to achieve the 3 dimensions (by removing one of theirs). Almost all characters were 1 dimensional puppets.

Villains are so much better when they have more depth than a card board cut out. Definitely a movie you see once for the effects on a 3D IMAX, and then forget about ever after.

    It told me.

    Avatar IMAX 3D.

I really enjoyed it, went in for an escape and to sample the current 3D technology and was treated to a nice visual experience. Sure the characters were typical and the story line contrived with too much of a message - but that didn't phase me from still considering it a great experience.
