    Maybe they could mash this up with a list of closings of all the mom and pop stores in the surrounding areas.

    Did you see the engadget post about Sprint trying to put WiMax towers on every Walmart? Talk about coverage.

    that's what Sam's Club is for.

    A lot of these "small towns" probably also had a K-Mart, Target, or Shopko that were more negatively impacted by Wal-Mart than anything else.
