I just upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP. I must say that the upgrade went flawlessly, and my computer is performing significantly better (how much of this is XP, and how much is due to having wiped my hard drive and installed the OS from scratch is hard to tell).

I do miss the quick launch bar beside the Start button, where I used to park single click icons for my frequently used apps. Does anyone know how to access that feature? I suspect it is buried somewhere....

Right mouse click on Start. Click Properties. Click Taskbar. Toggle Show Quick Launch on.
