    To quote the Goat.

    Yea, it's kinda cool reading some history tibits included in the box set.

    I also have;
    "How the West was Won"
    and the BBC Sessions.

    I need to order the Movie; "The Song Remains the Same."

    That's pretty cool.

    Late or Early 60's?

    How about some 'Name That Tune'?

    Let's start with something easy;

    "All I see turns to brown as the sun burns the ground and my eyes fill with sand as I scan this wasted land"

    No Cheating Now.
    We've got to do it from memory.

    My cousins x-common law husband produced a couple of Plants Solo albums (Tim Palmer).

    Berd,
    You also need to read the book Hammer of the Gods if you have not already. Very entertaining.

    Kashmier

    There is a story in the book about the inspiration of that song.

    Are you talking about the lyrics you posted?

    Those lyrics are from Kashmir on Physical Graffiti 1975
    Led Zeppelin - Kashmir Lyrics

    Here is a better link

    I'm talking about the inspiration for the song.

    You already answered the song name.

    Ok, here's the next question;
    What does the song Kashmir and Sean Penn have in common.

    Late. Steve Winwood too (groupie!). I was a bit young at the time to remember in detail, but I'm pretty sure our dad was not impressed!

    I actually liked Eddie Van Halen better.
    Although, I felt Led Zeppelin had more depth to their music.

    Also, I think Eddie has aged better.

    I was blasting some Led Zep on my drive home from the track last night. Good to see I'm not the only one still listening to them. They've been a recent rediscovery from my youth.

    Page vs. Van Halen: I dunno, both were pretty innovative for their time.

    If you don't mind me asking, what track? Summit Point?

    Oh, to stay on topic, I like some Zeppelin myself, but I am a child of the 80's so a big fan of Van Halen.

    I was listening to the boxed sets just last week.
    ‎"Is that suck and salvage the Kevin Costner method?" - Chris Matthews on Hardball, July 6, 2010. Wonder if he's talking about his oil device or his movie career...

    Favorite Zep video:
    I find it sad/odd that people ask to be thanked. How genuine is it when you have to ask? It's like forcing your kid to call Grandma, to thank her for the new underwear she sent for their birthday.

    "To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

    This is the best thread... ever.... made.

    Led Zeppelin is and will always be rock's salvation. Anytime you hear any of the craptastic modern alternative neutered rock... Just know there is Led Zeppelin out there, and all will be well.
