There are about five days to go --

Who is brave enough to predict the final finishing percentage of each of the Presidential tickets ??

Guess the final national voting percentages of the Presidential aspirants:

    Obama/Biden:

    McCain/Palin:

Winners will be judged based on who comes closest to the published final numbers as they appear on the NYTimes website late on Wednesday November 6th.

BARYE will personally contribute $10 toward the purchase of any accessory of your choice from amongst the many fine products offered on this fine site to whomever comes closest !!!

Entries must be made prior to 12:01am EST November 4th, election day

(the final judge as to who wins is moi !!!)

Heh...I was going to say Obama/Biden with 53% as well. So if that is the outcome, I will simply be very happy to watch you keep your money.

    I'll go with Obama by 52% / McCain's 47%, with others at 1%.

I think it'll wind up being a little closer than the predictions so far. Since I can only pick one number, I'm going to go with this as my 'official' one:
    Obama/Biden: 51%
    McCain/Palin: 47%
    Other: 2%

I think the following is going to happen:

    Obama/Biden: 49%
    McCain/Palen: 49%

I don't think popular vote is going to decide this election.

FWIW, the popular vote never decides the election.

My gut tells me this will be very close as far as popular vote and a blowout electoral win. But since we have a couple of close picks already I guess I'll take this to another extreme:

    Obama/Biden: 55%
    McCain/Palen: 44%
    Other: 1%

Ok since everybody is going for a close finish I'll put in something different

    Obama/Biden: 61%
    McCain/Palen: 38%
    Other: 1%

(most likely will be lots closer though )

Yeah I know, I meant it more as I don't think polls, national percentages, etc are really going to be indicative of who wins. Make no mistake, I think that Obama is going to win - but I think that his ridiculous poll numbers are going to suffer from the Bradley effect...

I put it in the area that Theog suggests. The higher number placed by Toolkit is way out of sight. This race is very close and the numbers get tighter every day. Theog expressed concern not long ago about having an Obama, Biden, Nancy and Harry ruling situation and this morning I was surprised to hear a neighbor say the same thing to his wife. Both life Democrats, he told me he is voting McCain and is pretty sure his wife will also.

You can donate my $10 to cancer research (seriously)... Lets not get all serious over $10... go to a bar that won't buy a drink.

If you notice, I placed my numbers on if obama wins and if mccain wins... in other words obama needs to get above 49 % to pull this off... if close, I believe mccain wins.

but you can create whatever rules you want... my numbers are there.... lol

Right with Theog in this. It will be tight. I also like the donation to cancer research or a charity. My extra money goes to cancer research due to my wife having lung cancer.
