Did this whole thing turn out to be a lie anyways?

And you are the first to start the name calling. Call it what you want, you will anyway. Had the public known about Obama's past and associations prior to Iowa, there is a good chance he never would have gotten this far. Whether you like it or not, people we associate with, things we do, things we say, they do count.

Actually, if you read my posts, I disagree with people all over the place... I respect what they have to say. I may not agree with them, but we can normally agree to disagree... I can get to a common ground... or I bail out the convo if it starts going no place.

You are here to spread a hate message. You attempt to wrap it in a nice package. Your message is clear. Your intent is clear. Don't get upset because I don't fall for the "I don't like his politics" BS. Your message is nothing but hate toward obama so please stop your whining when someone calls you out.

And you don't like obama because he is black... I'll call it like I see it. In every post I see of yours so new people understand you. Matter of fact, I might change my signature. lol I'm here to destroy *evil.* lol

I would not be surprised... or a quote tied together without full meaning of the entire subject or taken out of context to sell a few papers.

If you are going to mention it is a lie, you should at least provide a quote or where you heard it it was a lie.

    His past?

Like obama or not, his past is cleaner than both hillary and mccain. That is the problem, you are attempting to associate obama with things that are ridiculous in order to push your hate-filled agenda.

If you were really angry about who people associated with or things they do or say, you would be blasting mccain. Hillary? Please... but she is not as bad as mccain.

I don't care what you do or how you do it, just be honest with yourself and others on this board at your intent, agenda, and motive.

What do you think of Bob Barr?

I truly hope he's not the LP's nominee. I can't think of him without thinking of the SNL skit around Clinton's impeachment where 'he' (Chris Parnell) was bringing up all sorts of obscure laws about how things could be handled.

I like him better than Ron Paul, most of his politics, but his running only hurts the republican party and of course, he stands no chance of gaining a substantial vote or winning - this means we end up with a president that cannot unite the country (and neither can any of the others).

Barr is a moral lilliputian, a bankrupt hypocrite, and a fraud -- which is why of course I whole heartedly support his nomination to be the Liberterian Party nominee.

That -- and because he would do more damage to McCain than to the democratic candidate...

...And because if Gravel's their nominee, my very good friend will be traveling with him all summer -- and we won't be able to make the movie we plan to do together... Let's GO BARR !!!!

I can understand where daThomas is comming from in point. I do agree people should continue going on with their everyday lives and freedoms which our young soldiers defend, BUT from the point of Commander and Chief being leisure while standing in knee deep $hit is not something I would be doing...solidarity would be more pertinent.

Interesting... why do you keep repeating Barack Hussein Obama? Don't give me the republican puppet-talk "that it is his name." When people do that they are running....

I'm trying to figure out if you don't like Muslim names, don't like his name, or want to attach this to his upbringing. I see so many hard republicans do this, and it is one of the things Rove said not to do... just interested in why people think his full name is that important.

I never hear anyone say: John Sidney McCain III.

I had missed this post from you earlier until someone else brought it up... interesting comments you have going on there.

I do agree with you though...I think the attack on Bush was politics at its best. Next week mccain will be complaining of something that obama or some other dem said against him. It goes back and forth... like a good tennis match.

It will be great and Barr, a disaster waiting to hit. As for the name, I have never heard Obama give his complete name and I did a bit of searching not too long ago. His backers do not like hearing the middle name though.

McCain - he never uses it, but I do not believe he is overly sensitive about it.

Over the years, I'd heard John Wayne Mccain so much I thought that was his middle name. His real name fits him... I see why he has such an anger issue now. Not to mention he is a bit on the short side. Sure he had it hard as a kid.

Legal sense? I don't follow what you were stating.... Legal sense of the person offended not liking bush?

As I've already stated, it has more to do with the position and situation than Bush the man. Bush has said some idiotic things (mostly funny things) but this takes the cake, IMO.

But no, I don't hate bush or even dislike him. Actually, I don't even know him. I think he has made some bad decisions. He has made some good decisions as well. Neither here nor there... no President will do everything that you agree with... some like to "pretend" that Bush is evil and has only performed badly. That is not true.

Running a company, I understand that sometimes you have to make hard decisions... you might not always be right, and later the 20/20 will hurt because you know you should have made a different decision. But you go on the information you have at the time.

    but I've went past this...

Everyone will have their own opinion of what was said. One of those things were you just agree to disagree before "it" all starts.

I'm more interested in why bclinger likes to make certain comments but then avoids explaining himself.... lol....

Legal sense of party is basically entity or person. So, he's saying that a person's reaction to the matter says more about their opinion of Bush than the matter itself.

I kinda figured that out... an odd way of putting it in a political thread... normally "party" is going to be thought of as Dem or Rep... especially in the way he used it. No biggie...

After working 10 years in the legal arena maybe I should have went "legal" first. lol

    Thanks for the info...

I think that we react more in sadness than in anger. I think that the man has no sense of proportion. As he suggests, it would be as inappropriate for him to be photographed playing golf as it is for him to claim credit for sacrifice.

If Mr. Bush is really concerned for the troops, he will drop his opposition to the new veterans programs. Never in the history of the nation have we asked so few to sacrifice so much. After all they have given, it is hard to understand that Mr. Bush would withhold any benefits from them in the name of economy. The cost of the proposed benefits is minuscule when compared to the other costs of this tragic war.
Up the next election, my citizens; always the next election.

What benefits are being withheld? Proposed benefits?

    well said.

His apologists excuse the appalling conditions and care given to injured Iraq vets at Walter Reed (a 5 min. bike ride from me) as beyond the purview of a busy President.

Yet his minions somehow know to drill down and care about things that affected the tax treatment of his oil buddies, of which GOP connected companies got contracts in Iraq, or why helping Iraqi interpreters who've risked their and their families lives helping american soldiers should be prevented from coming here or being somehow supported and protected.

Truly the worst President in america's history.
