Brought it home tonight. BMW 335i

Premium, sports, you name it.. it's got it. Except for the Nav, I'm having a touch screen put in as soon as a kit's available.

    How is the turbos application?

I think it is naturally aspired. it is the first 3 series with a 3.5l engine.

Hey Smiley. Nope the new 335i has a 3.0 twin turbo.

    Source: Edmunds
The turbo engine for those who don't like turbo engines
Powered by a twin-turbocharged, intercooled 3.0-liter inline six loosely based on the engine currently found in the 3 Series, the 335i's engine is the first turbocharged gasoline BMW engine in decades. The turbo engine forgoes the aluminum-magnesium block found in the normally aspirated variants in lieu of an all-aluminum block. Direct injection, whereby the fuel is introduced into the combustion chambers rather than into the intake manifold, improves efficiency and performance by cooling the intake charge, allowing a high 10.2:1 compression ratio.

Wow, completely forgot about this thread.

I may be making a crazy choice here, but I just had quite a bit of money come my way so this 335i MAY be going to the wife.

I'm headed off today to look at an 06 E60 M5.

    Am I crazy?

Well, I dont feel like purchasing a new 07. I can save myself a little over 10k and not take the hit of buying a new car.

    I'm looking at a fully loaded '06 M5.

Sweet ride. I'm holding out for the new M3 (currently have a 2001 330Ci) to see how it compares to the 335i. I figure by then all of you early adopters will have sorted out the new engine. What transmission and interior color did you get?

Marky, the 335i is automatic (thank god, so I can pawn it off to my wife now) and the interior is Grey/Dakota Leather. I just brought home the '06 E60 M5

My business partner just bought this in November (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=220045672361). Not the current model but very sweet nevertheless. However, I'd take the new 335i over it.
