From viewing the question, "outside in."

The opposite for the term itself would be "outside in". But as for the the opposite of the meaning of inside out, there is no opposite meaning. Both "inside out" and "outside in" mean the exact same thing, with opposing focus on a part of the subject/object described.

    Kazinvan,

You've had this debate for over two years now?

When I read the post I coulda sworn I had remembered seeing a similar one on TC at some point so went searching for it...and lo and behold it was from the same guy!

I know! It came up again and we had the same debate. I remember posting ages ago but didn't remember what the consensus was. I guess we are like an old married couple Maybe some new faces on the board can come up with something new.

Well, if you turn your underwear inside-out... then you would have them wrong-side out...so the opposite would be returning them to normal, or turning them right-side-out.*

    * Doen not apply to Brittney Spears or others who do not wear underwear.

I agree with "right-side out." Did a search and found this:

    right-side out

Turned correctly, with the outer side on the outside, as opposed to inside out, def. 1. For example, I turned the sweater right-side out before putting it on.

Unger, this is Dunn. Dunn this is Over. Over was under Unger who was over Dunn, and vice versa.
