It appears that elections are moving toward a two phase process.

    1) Voters vote.

    2) Lawyers sue and fight the votes by the voters.

While getting ready this morning, I was flipping through the new channels for the election coverage and heard an interesting stat:

There are currently over 10,000 lawyers on call today to challenge voting issues. 7,000 of them are on reserve for the Dems and 3,000 are for the Rep.

This seems to be a growing situation with each election over the last 8-10 years.

There are some justified situations, but this thread will be dedicated to watching which side is suing for what and where.

You forgot to mention the Supreme Court which also stands ready to politically intervene.

The Democrats sue to have all votes counted.

And Republicans sue to have just the legal votes counted.

Didn't the Dems sue in 2004 to keep out a significant number of military votes?

Or doesn't that count as not counting?

It seems that I remember one party wanted to recount just some of the votes in Florida also.

I don't recall hearing any real issues being taken to court this time around. This this the first time I have seen this in the last 6 years. Is it coincidence that since the Dems won, there were no law suits? Or was this election process run that much better by the states?

I personally expected the Reps have a few law suits ready to file in an attempt to maintain power, but they never did.

Yes and no supreme court weighing in to select any candidates either! Overall a pleasant election cycle.
