We're arguiing over two companies that have successful mobile devices and have done little with them in over 3 years. A company like HTC makes them both look bad. (And Palm did correct the w's memory issues in 9 months.)

Yes. They did. However, they also fixed the 650 memory problem without learining anything from it. In fact, users have been complaining about memory since we were at 8megs; Palm still has not learned, is still behind. It was a special problem on the W because everyone knew that a multi-tasking system gobbles memory.

I agree that they still have a lot of work to do on their Palm Treos memory management. Hopefully a firmware upgrade will fix this. But even Apple just NOW added gapless playback.

That's a convenient Palm excuse, plenty of other phones have it.

HP has officially ruined it's own platform and kicked webOS loyalists and early TouchPad adopters to the curb. You think after you drop it like a hot potato and mention it made no money and is costing you money, anyone else wants it??? Way to go HP!!

And some people are fools to keep believing their hype. HP has shown they will throw webOS under the bus and people are still having faith in them??? News flash: if it's own company won't stand behind it, it's finished!

I thought it was an interesting discussion.

Yeah, HTC makes Palm look slow and backwards. And Creative Labs and Cowon make Apple look like they are too cheap or lazy to add FM tuner, line in recording and drag and drop. If they sold Cowons at Best Buy, I pass out from the joy!
