    Watch Bush just come up behing the Merkel, and try to give her a massage. She freaks out a bit, and rightly so.

    That's pretty crazy. Watch him run away!

    Speaking of the chancellor, did you guys see/hear Bush obsessing about a pig during a press conference on middle east developments (from the daily show):

    I don't think the chancellor likes him all that much, check out her demeanor when he references the pig again at the end.

    What an international embarrassment he is.

    Well, at least I can't fault him for being himself...I guess that's a good thing.

    The collective "we," as in the combined 50 states.

    I understand. Just trying to disassociate myself from that "we" somewhat. I was referring to an old joke; to take an OT thread OT a bit:

    The Lone Ranger and Tonto are riding along through the sagebrush when suddenly about a million Indians come riding over the hill. Our two heroes are soon surrounded, and things look bad for them. The Lone Ranger turns to Tonto and says, "Tonto, we're surrounded. What are we going to do?" Tonto turns to the Lone Ranger and replies, "What you mean 'we,' white man?"

    [back on topic] For better or worse, we don't have that luxury in this case.

    You mean like Bush & Cheney? The worst White House tag team of the modern era. Let's count their successes: Afghanistan (oops, no: the Taliban is resurgent, we never caught Omar or Bin Laden, it's become a major opium exporter, and Karzai is becoming increasingly unpopular); How about Iraq (uh, no: 10s of thousands of American casualties, sectarian violence has gotten worse since the "democratically elected government" implemented its security plan [6000 Iraqis killed in the last 2 months alone, more than 50,000 since the war began], Iraq's now a terrorist haven, oil production is lower than it was when the "oil for food" program was in place, and the local government can't even begin to think about surviving without the U.S. military to prop it up); How about the mid-east in general (a BIG no); Asia? (well, except for China and North Korea, maybe);

    Well, how about domestically? OK, surely the fiscally conservative Republican's have cut the deficit (umm, no: the deficit was zero when Bush took office. B&C have given us the largest deficits in history); But border security's improved, right? (and what planet have you been visiting?); Surely crime is down now that Law & Order repubs are in charge (no, actually urban crime is skyrocketing all over the U.S. ); surely the big tax cut for oil producers has increased the supply of gasoline, and cut prices (ROFLOL!!!!). Well, at least the stock markets are up (Oops, wrong again).

    But he's renewed respect for the Law and the Constitution, at least, right? (Well, actually he's shredded the constitution, and shown his total disrespect for the laws of the land. He believes in the president as king, with the unfettered right to do whatever he deems appropriate.)

    I guess maybe there are good reasons why Bush's popularity rankings have set new records (record LOWS, that is). The man's a clown, an embarrasment to America, and a criminal.

    He must be including all the gang murders that have occured here in the US since the invasion. The story is always better when you make up the numbers.
