    You aren't?

They come from the same book you are quoting by General Sada. The one that says Saddam hid all his weapons in Syria before the American's Arrived. The one that has been rejected by the intelligence community because it cannot be substantiated by a single scrap of evidence. But if you didn't read the book, then where did you get that information?

Because as in the reference in the link in my answer to NRG's same question, the UN specifically asked Saddam to account for them as part of his disarming and chem & bio accountability. Saddam was notified that we knew he had these specific weapons. He failed to notify the UN either way of their status. If he lost them, he didn't let the UN know. If he knew where they were, he did not let the UN know.

But that's not evidence that he 'had' any munitions or knew where any were. Was it? Only evidence that he was uncoperatvie with inspectors.

Yes...the UN asking for accountability was based on known weapons already acknowledged he already had. There was not the question at the time that they existed, only where they were now....or at the time Saddam was to be accountable for the known weapons.

Like I mentioned before, he refused to account in any way for these Bio and Chem weapons. He never tried to claim he lost them and his regime refused to account for them in any way. Pretty big question mark when talking about 500 plus Bio and chem weapons.

    Again ...

1.) We know that he was being un-cooperative with the UN.

2.) If he was being un-cooperative with the UN, wouldn't he refuse to account for munitions, whether he was hiding them, or if they were rotting away in a hole near the Iran border where they had been forgotten for years?

So, can we really conclude that he knew about them?

And wasn't that question answered given that he didn't use them even as his regime fell? Does this sound consistent with what you know of his personality? Would it be consistent with that personality for him to tell the UN he had some but that he can't remember where he put them?

We are talking over 500 munitions that have been confirmed as containing chemicals to include Sarin nerve agent. Saddam is on record telling the UN that he did not have any Sarin agent.

But, I guess next question would be what is the definition of "have".
I get it. No matter that he was in charge of shooting down our planes and God knows what else, when Sadaam's general says something he thinks you want to hear, you are ready to believe him without question.

I would rather trust our own people on an important matter such as this. Here is what senior CIA officials said about these weapons last month:

"Intelligence officials said the munitions were found in ones, twos and maybe slightly larger collections over the past couple of years. One official conceded that these pre-Gulf War weapons did not pose a threat to the U.S. military before the 2003 invasion of Iraq. They were not maintained or part of any organized program run by Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein."

You do realize we knocked out his ability to contact his units within the first few minutes of the invasion don't you? His ability to communicate was reduced to useing runners (people driving from place to place to relay orders).
Made it kinda of difficult to give the orders to launch those weapons.

The more info comes to light, the more the "no WMD" rally cry fades into the sunset.

Its kind of funny when you look at it, liberals are happy that America was not threatened by WMDs in Iraq, while neocons seem to be tirelessly hoping and wishing every day that somehow a WMD threat to the US will materialize.
But somehow liberals are branded as the America haters.

Anyway, I have had enough of this dead horse beating too. You put up a persistent and relentless argument Cardio, I commend you on your enthusiasm and zeal! Take care.

That seems to be what the "no WMD" sides does best, except they close their eyes to the documents, the munitions.......
