    I heard about that. I have the Inspiron E1705 and was scared when I was gaming for 5 hours straight in the 105 degree weather.

    When 450MHz processors were the "Hot" thing, my company had laptops that you could not use on your lap because of the heat. If you left them on a table too long, they would put a scorch mark on the finish.

    Of course you needn't worry about "protection" that night after using ya laptop !

    I have the Lattitude X1 -- the small tiny light beastie. It's what I use to make do until I can get a Treo with wifi. :-)

    Really nice machine but it's like having a hotplate on your lap.
