No....that is the what Post #105 & #102 are all about....it was NOT a normal treaty. The French basically said we will help you with no compensation. We do not want any spoils. All lands after the fact goes to the US. The US will be Independent.

This was such an unheard of Treaty that many doubted if it was really for real. There has been no real comparison to this treaty prior to or since it was signed.
