Is there any way to remove the phone lock (that the former owner put in) to make the phone useable? I have no idea who the former owner was, and I would just like to do a master reset or some such. I do not want to access their information. Any idea where to find info on how to do this?

My daughter found the phone in an abandoned apartment, and it seems to work, but I can't get past the phone lock code. I want to use it as a backup phone, or as a phone that I can let the kids use on occasion with my sim card.

mmm how about turning it into the police..
If it was my phone I'd sure be happy if an honest finder did that..

Keeping it and breaking the security is most likely illegal..
