Just checked DSL Reports with my 650, is it possible?

    114kbit/sec (100k test)
    1.7 lat,
    8.4 d/l time

    139 kbit/sec (200k) test
    2.0 lat
    3.5 d/l

    164 kbit/sec (600k) test
    1.62 lat
    30.76 d/l

wont even do 5k test, says it is too fast.

Yes, I think T-Mo has been testing EDGE in various parts of NJ. In Piscataway, I was getting numbers ranging from 70s to 130s. Where are you?

    Piscataway, right off Centennial Ave.

I have a TMO 600 in Central NJ and am only getting 36kps. Do you need a 650 to see those speeds?

Probably geographicly specific. I live on the Union/Middlesex County border, 12-16 mile away from Piscataway, and I am back to 42-46 kbits at home. The devise should not matter. Your acual results may vary, no purchase neseccary. ;-)

Probably ... the 650 supports EDGE but the 600 doesn't.

I'm a 600 owner in the same situation in suburban Washington DC, where rumors of EDGE coverage abound.

Man, I wish T-Mobile would start selling the 650. I'm out of contract, and for that reason am not willing to pay big bucks for an unlocked 650.

I was having difficulty explaining why I would switch from a very functional 600 to the 650. Now with the ROM update, support for Edge and Bluetooth, I am kind of wishing T-Mobile would do something soon.
