    Wonder if anyone has got an answer on this .. or if the Cingular guys themselves even know?

    At $549 it seems insane that they would lock it. For thise of us that use several international SIMs that would make the phone useless.

    Recent Cing tri/quadband phones do seem to be sold unlocked so maybe they have finally seen their advantage over CDMA!

    I guess wait for P1 to realease if they do.

    You can probably get locked ones for $320~$350 then unlock it when the tools become available, provided it is a new account with Cingular.
