After t-zones failed to connect me anymore I signed up for the 19.99 plan. Does this plan allow me to get to sites that T-zones can't?

Yes. All ports are wide open (as far as I can tell) so you can also do other stuff like clock syncing, shoutcast, SSH, etc. I just upgraded too.

Did you get the Unlimited Internet or the Unlimited VPN?

I decided to play dumb when I called and just said I wanted the standard data plan for my treo 600. After it was activated, I selected "T-Mobile Internet" in my net prefs and everything just works. (at least, everything *I* need)

    T-Mobile Internet/VPN includes T-Zones
    most of ports are available
however, I found port 554 (used with real audio) is closed

I got the Unlimited plan, not VPN. Seems to work fine.

The biggest difference between the two plans is that VPN gives you an IP address that is visible on the internet and can be used with a virtual private network. T-Mobile internet uses an internal non-routable ip address. In my experience neither plan let's you access the Tzones wap deck because it is only visible when using a wap browser on port 9201 via the wap.voicstream.com apn.
