I spent the last few days at a location about 30 miles east of Redding in Northern California. I had no coverage with T-Mibile, so I checked for other networks and found AT&T (no surprise, others with AT&T service had coverage). I tried to connect, got a message that my phone was registering, but a minute or two later, this was followed by an "unable to register" message.

When I got home yesterday, I called T-Mobile. Turns out that the roaming agreement with AT&T is very limited geographically. T-Mobile also has no plans to expand coverage to the area I was in, but I did get a number to fax a request to add that area to their AT&T roaming agreement.

When I roam with T-Mobile I take my old Nokia 6190 with the "sharkfin" roaming adapter. That way if I can't get a signal with my T600 I can switch to my Nokia and hopefully get someone's signal.

What is the number? I have several areas near home that I want to request.

I will have to look for it. Don't know if I kept it.
