Working for me right now. Check your spelling:

    correct: myemail.t-mobile.com
    You've got: myemail-t-mobile.com?

Try T-Zones. It was the work around that solved the same problem for me this morning.

I haven't called T-Mo. Figured I would wait until Wednesday. I'm also in NY, so maybe it is a local network problem.

I got it to work once a couple of weeks ago, and I haven't had any luck since. It's been driving me nuts! Now I can't remember the settings I used to get it to work. Can someone help?

I am receiving email fine through my corporate server. I would like to be able send email through the myemail.t-mobile.com server, but have it look as though it came from my corporate email address. As I said, I did get this to work successfully once before.

In the Advanced settings tab, should I have "SSL required for SMTP" checked or unchecked? And what should I use for the "Outgoing mail server User Name & Password"? Or should I leave them blank?

    Thanks so much,

Just got off the phone with a wireless specialist and the SMTP server is down for the GPRS network. The workaround I've found is using the WAP connection. Mail sends fine with that. Engineers are working on the problem and will either call or text message with repaired.

THe smtp server returned 1/16/2004 for me. (we use the smtp server on tmobile because most ISP's will not allow you to access their SMTP server when you are accessing it from outside their network. Some ISP's allow you to authenticate, others dont. This is one type of protection from SPAMers. So, when using T Mobile for connections, you need to use their servers to send Email. By the way, Cingular does not have a SMTP server, so I can not use their network for email...)

System worked until 1500 CST, 1/18/2004

Now I can not make a connection to any internet site, or send or check email.

I can make a network connection and make phone calls.

I think that T Mobile is either doing some maint. of it's servers or they have a serious problem...

I called earlier this evening and was told that GPRS has been down nationwide most of the day. As of 10:30 PM eastern, it is still not working. Sure seems like T-Mobile hasn't been to reliable over the last week.
