I ordered on Nov 20th and FedEx says it is in my town and should be in my hands by 3pm today. Pretty good - better than the 2 weeks Handspring/PalmOne said at the least...

I also ordered 11/20 (early AM). Did not order any accessories. Order status changed from "awaiting shipment" to "shipped" last night (never had "back ordered" status). Fedex shows it will arrive today. While I'm very happy to get my hands on it, I don't think it's right that people who ordered before me don't have their units yet.

    I got it yesterday. Yipppeeee.

But those ******* at fedex had a little fun at my expense.

I had palmone send it to my work address as no one would be home to sign for the package (and fedex always come during the day).

So I get to work punch in the tracking number, it was scanned in to the NJ sorting center at around 8am.

And that was the last update. I checked every coule of hours with no change. I called fedex around 2:30 and was informed that there was trouble at the NJ sort place and that they didn't have a time that it would be here, but it should be by 5pm.

I would of waited, but the mail room closes at 4:30 and doesn't except packages after 3:30.

So, as I was putting on my scarf I get a call from my co-worker (who is in a connected building (same place where the mail room is) and I got a package delivered.

As I walking accrossed the enclosed/heated bridge i saw the fedex guy. Luckily for me, he took it directly to the office I said to take it to (my office is hard to find).

Picked up the package, but it had no pald or handspring logos, not even a cingular logo. It did come from utah.

When I got back to my office I opened it (really just a peak) just to make sure, yes a cingular box.

went home and spent the next several hours charging, installing and playing with my toy.

So far so good, no big negatives.

    Felipe,

Awesome news, Congrats. I know how you feel. Day after Thanksgiving I'm hanging around at home hoping the local Fedex delivers on that day. Lots of family around. Fedex guy pulls in driveway, the kids run to door..I follow quickly. Big smile on Fedex guys face from the elation on my part and kids wondering why dad is so damned excited. Once I show them it is a phone that can take pictures..they understand.

Enjoy it man... you waited and waited...now time to enjoy.

HS is sick. I guess their execs decided to send everyone something. I ordred on the 20th, and all I got today was a headset adapter. Man that makes me mad. I get an adapter, and others get their Treos. When will it come HS?

Is it just me, or does it feel like the people who ordered the phone and no accessories are getting theirs shipped before those of us who ordered accessories?

Can anyone refute this? Any late orderers who ordered a phone + accessories have their phones ship yet?

You're exactly right. And despite our T600's being listed as "backordered," at least one person on these forums reported having his status changed from "awaiting shipment" to "shipped" as recently as last night. If HS doesn't have all of these things out by the 8th, as they claim they will, some CSR is gonna have his/her hands full because I'm gonna lose it.

HS spent 14.50 overnighting me a headset adapter (that is useless to me without the T600) that costs less than 6 bucks... Real Smart Folks here aren't they

I ordered my Treo 600 on November 21st. Today, I got an email with a fedex tracking number. Arrival on December 5th! I already have the tweaked pages for Cingular splash screens ready to be replaced, along with some fun ringtones, apps and my own Treo web site, www.nxtwave.com. Ok, not much there yet, but it is an Xhtml site, and once I get it organized it will have ringtones and Kinoma videos to download. Fun, fun, fun!

I haven't received the "official" handspring email yet, but just checked my order status which used to read "partially shipped" now reads "shipped". My Treo left Orem, UT on 12/03/03 at 7:02 pm. I should receive by Dec 4, 2003 by 3:00 pm.

They did deliver the stereo adapter and stylus' with flag that "no signature required -- release waiver on file". I called FedEx and they advised that they would have to get permission from the shipper (Handspring) in order to do a signature waiver and/or reroute delivery to another address...so I'll be schlepping to Ontario Intl Airport tomorrow to pick it up before 7pm.

Get mine tomorrow too, got the e-mail. Why couldn't they wait a day, and ship the adapter with it?

Ditto - my status just changed to "Shipped" tonight... after a rather frustrated email to Handspring CS this afternoon. Coincidence? I think not.

Heh. Anyways, I didn't pay extra for overnight shipping (kicking myself now), and FedEx claims the 8th as my delivery date, however my USB Charging Cable was here next-day, so perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised with the T600 as well.

    Fingers crossed...

    It's coming!

The order of 11/24 left Salt Lake City, UT at 8:17 pm 12/3 and is scheduled to arrive 3:00 pm 12/4. Just 10 days after ordering on the last day of HS's Cingular Upgrade Program (after waiting 6 weeks for an announced TMo release...and would still be waiting, I see). Thanks to everyone on the board for helping me make that decision!!!

Whoohoo! Now I'll have something to use with that neat stereo headphone adapter that was sent two days ago! (And why wasn't that incorporated into the T600?)

Well, Good luck everyone with tonight's play with your Treo session. Although I would ask everyone to share their toys, this is an exception... ITS MINE! MY PRECIOUS! MY PRECCIIOOUUUSSS! (I hope my boss doesn't expect any work outta me today)

    *News Flash*
PalmOne, formerly Handspring has fooled the world, and especially the TreoCentral community. They sent a Treoo 600 apology letter that was shipped in a Treo 600 box, stating the Smartphone will arrive some time in the "spring of 2004" (in the editors option, this really means in the slap middle of summer). TreoCentral members are dropping dead in their offices everywhere after reading the letter... we will update when we have more information.

This is strange....Keep in mind that I live about 5 miles away from Ontario Intl Airport:

3:15 am - Arrived at FedEx Ramp - ONTARIO CA

EDIT: ....this looks better....too bad I can't stay home to get it earlier in the day.....

Arrived at FedEx Destination Location ONTARIO CA 12/04/2003 06:30

i got mine today. They didnt ship the slipcase. I got the nice horizontal one they sell as an extra accessory in the box instead!

Out of curiosity, does anybody know why it makes any sense for FedEx to have my accessory (USB cable) to me overnight, yet take 5 days with the Treo? It's not that they're routing it any differently, it's just that they're holding onto it longer in the same locations my cable went to (in this case, it's spent the entire day in TN). If they route it differently to be driven as opposed to flown, that's an understandable cost savings. This is just mean. If it's eventually going to get on a plane to the DC area anyway (in this case, probably Monday morning), why would it be in FedEx's interest to simply delay that, as opposed to getting a pleasing reaction of "Wow, FedEx sure got that here faster than I expected!"? Sigh. No biscuit, FedEx! No biscuit!
