So has anyone figured out a way to keep a Treo with GPRS from timing out after a period of network inactivity? Cingular does this (after 30-40 minutes), and it's so frustrating. GPRS certainly isn't always-on with Cingular, regardless of signal strength.

I've tried using Snappermail with their auto email-fetch function set at 30 minutes or so to keep the connection alive but it's unreliable.

There used to be a whole bunch of "keep connection alive" applications available for PC and mac users who were timed-out by their ISPs.

Does anyone know of a similar small app for our Treo? Something that might send out a ping now and then to either keep a GPRS signal alive or to automatically reconnect a lost GPRS signal?
