Has anybody had any luck dialing into a win2k server RAS connection with the treo? I've been fighting with it all morning, and all I'm getting is the "connection timed out" after a long pause on the "signing on" screen.

On the windows side I've setup a dedicated account to use, tried using fixed ip and dhcp (for the ras user - the server itself is fixed, but there is another dhcp server on the lan) and other things. nothing is changing.

Has anybody been through this already?

never mind - sure enough it was a dhcp problem. win2k server wasn't relaying dhcp packet data like it said it was, so the treo couldn't lease an address. Giving the treo a fixed ip in the network prefs made it work.

this is the first time i've messed around with data connectivity on the treo. pretty slick. Blazer is pretty fast. Avantgo syncing is *painfully* slow.

I wonder if when GPRS is released, voicestream will allow free packets on the weekends, like with voice minutes. That would help a lot.
