    I just turned in my old 32K pac bell SIM for the new 64K one. First issue is that it disables my manual network select, which is annoying. Second, and larger, issue, is that I can no longer send SMSs -- I get a "4058 error". MMS can still be sent.

    Cingular tech support is closed today and I'm on the road -- it seems like sending MMSs or using AIM may be a workaround until I can get it fixed, but has anyone else encountered this?

    ROW 650 1.71/1.20 on Cingular in SoCal...

    Thx. It appears as if the 4058 error is a configuration error at Cingular, and the only way to get it fixed is to call in to tech support. They fixed it for me, and it seems to be working fine now.
