    This is a good article about the ongoing spectrum auction.
    Get Your Fix at Auction 66 I will say that if T-Mobile doesn't come up with the money to buy the spectrum they need to build a next-gen network I'm going to drop them like a hot potato(e). They have to develop a UMTS or HSDPA network or they are not going to survive in the US.

    After 32 rounds of bidding, the top three bidders remained the same: T-Mobile USA has bid $3.7 billion for 117 properties; Verizon Wireless has bid $2.7 billion for four regional properties; and Spectrum Co. - the joint venture between Sprint and cable companies - has bid $1.5 billion for 90 properties.
