    Hey all -

I recently aquired a Trio 650 as a gift from one of our marketing partners. I'm a Treo n00b, but I went ahead and popped in my SIM card from my Cingular Motorola RAZR, and it's worked fine since wihout any changes...

    It's a Treo 650:
    Hardware ver. A,
    Software ver. Treo650-120-ENA
    Firmware ver. 01.71

I am showing as connecting to GPRS on the MediaNet service.

    Here's my question, though:

    1. I think, then, that I have an "unlocked" Treo, correct? Should I flash it with the Cingular software/firmware?

    2. Being that EDGE service is (supposedly) available in my area, what do I need to do to connect via that method, or how can I tell when I am using the faster-speed EDGE network?

PS - the internet download test at pcpitstop.com gave me a speed of 110 kilobits/sec. Good?

    Thanks in advance!
