Ok, I may have missed this post somewhere. I tried a search and it did not come up with anything. How involved is setting up a new OEM unbranded (read: $550 Treo from Newegg) with T-Mobile? Is there a tutorial that goes through step by step anywhere? I am planning on delivery tomorrow or Monday (FedEx overnight). Is this a long tedious phone call thing, or something I can do myself. Already "upgraded" to unlimited T-Mobile Internet. Moving from a Razr to the T650. And my sim card is less than two months old. ???

As far as T-Mobile is concerned, there's no setup to do: just pop in your SIM card.

But aren't there a bunch of settings? Like the access point? gateway? SMS settings? email settings? Where do they go? blah? blah? blah?

You're kidding me?!? No special settings. Just put your SIM as the man says.

    Hey temna

If your talking about WAP stuff, you need to set your Treo 650 by going into Pref then Network, and set T-Zones. Then go to Blazer Pref Menu, and set Proxy. Use Custom proxy, Proxy Server 216.155.165.50 Port 8080.

There maybe other things to set, but I Only have Pay As You Go T-Mobile.

    Have Fun!!!

She's doesn't need to patch together any T-Zones kludge, she's got the Unlimited Internet plan - she can connect to the internet immediately after popping in her SIM card.
