I'm having the same problem, its been roughly two weeks, two phones and countless hours with Tech Support.
They've tried everything, repointing, blowing everything away, still no dice. Small sense of relief to know others are in the same boat, maybe that will make Sprint get off their ****'s!!

I live in Morris Plains, NJ.

Actually, I've been hanging on, waiting for EVDO service while I use the craptastic PDA net on the standard Vision plan.

I usually work from the office or pull down some WiFi (read: leach) when I need to send a big file.

Just so happens that the files I'm dealing with are not so big, its just a LOT of emailing back and forth...

    ---

Finally go through to Sprint. They transferred me, I hung on for 30 mins, then got dropped due to sudden low signal strength... Typical.

The rep had NO idea what EVDO was, or that there was a new phone called the PPC6700 (which I asked her about purchasing...)

    Amazing.
    "I see dead pixels..."

If you are getting a popup window like above, I have temporarily found a fix for the problem:

    ##3282#

    Modify

You must now enter your MSL code and click OK (You need to call Sprint for this)

You must now enter your MSL code

Set your Primary HA to 68.28.89.76

Set your Secondary HA to 68.28.81.76
(Other numbers may work; These just came from a very knowledgeable Sprint Technician who said these are good values to use)

    Menu

    Browser

Clear out completely Primary NGG, Secondary NGG, both Port Entries (make sure they are 0)

    OK

You still can't access the main PCS Vision page, but at least you can use the browser to access any internet website.

Let me know if it worked for you....Good Luck!!!

    THX!!!

I can confirm that that particular set of HA addresses DOES fix my problem. I didn't have the popup problem, just the extreme slowness / dropping.

Now to get my refund for this month's vision not working...
  6. #46
Quick question did you clear out our proxy addersses?
  7. #47
I cleared out my ngg and changed to these HA addresses

still having the problem now,though... it's just more sporadic. I get a connection more often.

    Dude,

if you are ever in San Francisco, I'd like to buy you a drink !! Worked perfectly, although my Vision speed is now sub-par, which could have something to do with EVDO, but who knows anymore.

I spent about 10 hours of my time on this issue with no luck. Yesterday, I finally called another number at Sprint Bus Srvcs dept, spoke with a very helpful manager who said "i don't trust those refurbs (I'm on my 5th Treo 650 since Dec 2004), so I will send you a brand new phone 2 day, and cut your bill. Thanks again !

these sprint people really **** me off!!! They all say differen things. This latest one was saying I need to make sure I download all the latest firmware, etc. I asured her I did & am not a Treo newbie. I then went to palm & saw some new patch for the E911 service which has nothing to do with the Blazer problems but I downloaded anyway. Well I downloaded it & my Treo started power cycling & I had to hard reset!!!!!!!

Now I am getting some random texts from this rep that says Novara is the new browser for my Treo since September & I am supposed to download it. But there is no link or info to download this. I am on hold witj them again...

I still owe you that drink if you are ver in Freak Frisco, and a debt of gratitude for getting the putz in Level 2 to give you the correct IP information that I wa unable to obtain even after 10 calls. Anyway, this problem is very strange, even for an IT guy like myself. My only problem now , still, is that I can not send picture mail. Regular SMS works fine, but when I try to send Picture mail, I get the "Unable to connect to Sprint pciture server.. Please try again." I did have this problem since 8 days ago when my Vision started freaking out. My quest is this: do you know why this may still be happening, or do you know of a way to bypas the Sprint server? Throughout this ordeal my VersaMail and Verichat worked fine, I just could not get on the web.

    Thanks again

Xinno works just fine actually. I have another trouble ticket on this issue. Oh btw, turns out this "new broswer" for Treo is for Treo 300 & this has nothing to do with 650 owners. http://web.palm.com/support/blazer/sprint.html

I didn't mention that I am having the exact issues as you:

SMS is fine, Picture Mail is not.

The level 2 guy really didn't solve the problem. He just gave me the HA Settings which did nothing until I went into the "Browser Settings" and noticed the "NGG" settings were IDENTICAL to the "Realm" settings (68.28.31.33 .....I have them memorized!!!!), so I decided what the hell, if I clear them out, maybe the popup window won't show up...and it didn't...someyimes you just get lucky!!!!!

IF anyone actually gets this resolved by Sprint (in a manner that we can put the proxy info back in). Please post...

FWIW - My animated GIFs are finally working as of today. New Orleans area. Still cannot get to sites that require javascript.

Anything new to report on this? Anyone with the "Realm" able to put back in their NGG values and access the vision page?

    TIA

No news yet. Just got them to give me $10 credit to my account for the hassle. It was like pulling teeth to get it though...

I had the crappy image displays on my treo 650 sprint for two weeks now. I just checked a weather map that was showing up pixalated and now it is back to normal. Clear and the way it should be. Sprint must have fixed something because I have not changed anything on my t650.
