Since people could use the Treo 600/650 on Verizon, before Verizon had a treo (by using a Sprint version). Do you think the new 700W from Verizon will be able to be used on Sprint's network before/if Sprint goes ith the 700W?

    No.

Technically it might be doable, but there is still the issue of having Sprint accept the ESN for a non-Sprint phone.

Has anyone heard if Sprint will carry a 700W at all? Will we have a choice between 700P and 700W?

sprint is supposed to get the 700P in January and the 700W in May/June, so we'll definitely have a choice.

There is no proof of any of this. The 700p doesn't even exist yet, and the rumor of the 700w coming to Sprint in May/June is nothing more than that, a rumor.

The original quote from Palm was that Verizon would get an exclusive deal on the 700w for the bulk of 2006, and that GSM carriers would be supported in late 2006. No specific carriers were mentioned, and no specific dates were mentioned. And that was a starting point.

That's not to say that none of that will actually happen, but don't pass off rumors as fact.
    I'm back!
